  1. Just a quick question as I have not torn down the front end of the car, so no idea' what's going on underneath. A little lazy to pull her apart to check things out, when most of my spare time is spent working on other cars =]

Also the other half is a NAZI when it comes to the Rolla >.<

But any ways, Been thinking about installing fog's in the new corolla, So the question is for the base model 2011 corolla ascent to have fog lights, what is needed?

Is there already loom for OEM fog's in an ascent for them to be hooked up? or would after market fog's with there own wiring and switch have to be used?

Has any one successfully purchased any fog light kit?

    thanks

    - Leon

  2. Hey just wanted to ask a quick question.

    Got an 11 model Corolla

Looking to order some wheels, I know on paper what should be about right.

Looking at getting 17x7.5 with a +35 offset, looking to run 215/45/17's, from mind, they should fit nice and look good without scrubbing, but just looking for some feed back from some one who has the same size/offset wheel fitted, maybe some pics so I can visualize.

or would possibly 40 offset sit better at 7.5"?

The car is lowered with Pedder's Sports Ryder's(I think they are 30mm lower then standard) so it's a fair height also.

    Thanks

  3. thanks :) been looking at some rota wheels, thinking a 8.5" wide rim with 225's stretched onto them with a +40 offset would be alright, just wandering how much clearing there would be in the inner guard, any one fitted anything similar?

ok, next option is a 17x8 +35 with 225's what series rubber would match std size? and would it scrub?

222/45R17s will be fine. I don't scrub, and I'm on coilovers. Do you have a wheel in mind? Also, have a look at the ZRE Thread if you haven't already done so for some ideas! :)

dont think that will scrub at all correct me if wrong. With coilovers i think i would stick with pedders seems to have a good deal and warranty wise as its oz made! But thats my choice anyways but i chose to get the tanabe nf coilovers anyhow :P

I haven't still haven't experienced it yet so I can't comment. But people seem to be happy with them!

how are the cusco sway bars?

Bars are good! I got only got the rear sway but it makes the car more flatter in corners. :)

  4. If it smelt like coolant through the vents, and you are definately loosing coolant, the best bet is that you have a leaking heater core, which is situated behind your dashboard, check for residue down near your drivers pedal's, console and passenger footwell, and see if you can smell coolant in there

  5. I'm running 8" +38 and it's fine. Using the offset calc, you're right, 8.5" +32 will stick out a fair bit.. unless it's the look you want! ;)

    Peter.

if it was my car i wouldnt be so worried i would just throw them on :P but i already have my 300zx and my zuki, me and the mr's are sharing this one, and she wants nice rims, i wanna go as fat and wide as possible, while keeping it from scrubbing and needing any sort of body modification

will also be ordering some coil overs soonish, have been looking at hks hypermax c-compact's
