Hi Luke, something similar happened to me. It took a while to work it out but what I found is that when you are zoomed all the way in (I think to 50metres) you get less street names than when you are zoomed to 100meters. Try zooming out to 100m.
I ended up finding out that my wife accidently changed the zoom when using the navigation one day. She said that the navigation wasn't working so she press a few things.
