  1. I noticed today when I locked my 2015 Presara there was no single buzzer or hazard lights flash. 3 Doors locked except the drivers door with the usual audible clunk.

Unlocking caused the normal audible clunk as the 3 doors unlocked with the normal double buzzer and hazard lights flash, so that’s normal.

Appears that my drivers door won’t lock and that causes the failure of the single buzzer and hazard lights flash.

I’ll have to lock the car manually with the key until I can get it fixed by Toyota.

  2. Yep normal for most cars.....

I had a family member connect one of those computer monitoring programs into his 4 yo Holden Calais. Funnily enough it shows his speed exactly the same as the GPS but the speedo shows less. So the car knows exactly how fast it’s going but the techs have programmed the speedo to deliberately over read.

His GPS showed 100 km/h while the speedo showed 95 km/h.

My Presara does exactly the same.

Probably the same on all cars by design to make sure we don’t speed however we all know anyway!!

  3. I have the 2012 Map DVD I can sell you for $200 bucks.

It's the Denso Whereis map18 update.

I bought it 3 months ago for my 2008 Presara but last week bought a 2012 Presara so I don't need it now.

So it's available if you want it and it's works really well.

    And cheap at $200 bucks!!

  4. Ok.

Well I was thinking of fitting the SMD 5050 H11 LED lights into the Fog light. BUT if you say they are subject to melting then I'll give that a miss!!

So how's about fitting the Philips Blue Vision 4000K white light globes..........

Different sizes can fit into High Beams, Fog lights and Parker lights?

Maybe this would be the safer option and offer long life as well as a nice white color light?

  5. Hi,

I've recently sold my 2008 Presara ( bought a 2012 one !! ) and have a few used goodies for sale:-

1/ Toyota Denso Version 18 update CD for Nav system. Used in original box $200

2/ Grom USB i Pod car stereo adapter kit for Aurion. Used, no box and buyer will need to purchase a Toyota Data cable ( TOY ) separately. $80

3/ Phillips DRL5's used, no box. All cables included but no instructions. $170

All prices do not include postage.

    Located in Melbourne.

  6. I've contacted the seller of the DRL's adjacent to the Fog lights and I'm not inspired yet.

He said he only has a guide in Chinese and will give me photos to install..........

I would be worried they might 1/ over heat 2/ screw the electrical system and 3/ Void my warranty.

    Ahhhhhhhhh too many decisions!!

  7. Oooh nice.

I particularly like the DRL adjacent to fog lights.

How hard do you think they would be to fit? I have a mate that installs telephone exchanges and knows about electrical stuff that might fit them for me.

I also like the DRL headlight surrounds.

Thanks a lot for the info, much appreciated.
