Just looking for a white front bumper for a 2005 corolla zze122r and also the Fog light insert.
Also does anyone know any cheap places to get panel work done (no insurance) in Brisbane.
Thanks alot guys.

I'm stuck on this one as well.
I can't seem to get the indicators to flash.
On step 5 when it says, turn off and on, does that literally mean:
Turn on till all of the status lights come on
Then turn OFF till the whole car is off including radio.
I tried this, even very quickly (seems like I am breaking the ignition switch) and it still doesn't work.

Thanks for the response.
I already machined the front rotors prior to installing these pads. I think it might be a bit of a waste of money.
Although for these TRD brake pads they came with the Anti Squeal shims (metal shims), I took them off because I thought they were kind of useless and probably contributed to making the sound. When I had them on, I still had that sound...

I've never gone past about 650k's to a tank but that's probably because I have it tuned now and not doing all highway k's. Gonna sell my car soon anyways and get a new 86, hopefully mileage might be better :)

ohh sorry, i thought you meant weather shields, my bad.
Just get one off wreckers
Thanks for the response.. Not too sure if they would have it but I'll go check it out.
Thanks.

Wait... Sun visor as in the thing that swivels to block sunlight, is that what your talking about as well?
-
Mines tuned for Power FC with CAI and 2.5" catback exhaust too btw.

I have an 04 Celica, I get about 600 on a tank, maybe close to 650 on a good week with not smashing it much. My tank is 55L though, not too sure what the Sportivos have.
-
Should i attempt to rebed the surface of the rotors with new pad material ? Like the procedure of 10 hard stops consecutively

Hey guys,
I bought some TRD brake pads about couple months ago. I have since then had this annoying squeaking sound upon light braking that I have tried to rectify at least 3 times.
I have tried to remove them, take off the metal backing plate and spray the anti squeal compound at the back and put them back on.
All to which I still have this annoying brake squeak.
I have ensured that the wear indicator is not touching as well.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas as to a remedy or fix.
I have a 04 Celica.
Cheers.

I use 40 psi..
Thats on a 2004 Rav 4 though.
I'm pretty sure that's what it was on after it was serviced at Toyota.
-
Hey guys,
My parents car requires the passengers side sun visor replacement. Not too sure where I can pick one up for, second hand probably not new since it would be an absolute rip off from Toyota..
Thanks.

PM me if your interested, don't think I'm allowed to put prices in here.
I will put it in the For sale thread here soon.

I'm assuming that the Front strut bar would be the brace that connects between the 2 suspension mounting points underneath your hood. Usually just a bar that is bolted from one side to the other. It enables the vehicle to have less body roll in the front when going around a corner.
Similarly the rear is used to keep the back end stiff so less body roll there again around corners.
As for the rest, not too sure..

Hey guys,
I have found a listing on ebay for the Goodyear Gatorback belt:
http://www.ebay.com/...RS:1123&vxp=mtr
Item is roughly 32 dollars each plus 35 dollars shipping.
Seller has advised that 2 belts can fit within one shipping box.
I am looking for another buyer, preferably within QLD.
This will make it so this belt costs roughly 50 dollars shipped. I thought I might share this for others too if you were in the market for one of these.
Thanks.

Pulled just over 162hp with a beautiful power curve made over 260nm torque cant remember exact figure left the dyno sheet at my cousins house but goes heaps better and 8650 redline... =] but need a new O2 sensor as its broken and should give it a little bit extra but very happy
What mods do you have?
260nm of torque??
Don't our engines only produce about 181 nm or so stock?
-
That mid range is awesome.
Peak numbers aren't everything. Are the numbers your comparing to from the USA? Either way there is no point comparing numbers between dynos, drag strips never lie and give a better comparison between vehicles.
Seems to be choking at 7500rpm though, probably caused by the AEM CAI.
No I'm not comparing with US figures, maybe I just expected a little higher for peak that's all...
Is there anything that can be done to help with the 7500RPM choke that is observed here? without changing to an INJEN CAI..
Like if I got a bigger pod filter (K&N) or any other mods?
Thanks.
-
It just seemed that, overall, the power FC only gave me 5 peak HP...
-
That's not that bad, you're not comparing that to advertised figure are you? They are taken from the flywheel not the wheels.
Nah... But according to alot of stock figures I've seen from others, they have been getting 113kw ATW stock... which pretty much equates to about the same max power I got from mods + power FC..
-
Hey guys, just got a tune at Pitts automotive in Brisbane today. Results are somewhat dissapointing, well actually just based on the max power reading. I was quite surprised that my readings were so low, even stock...
Here is my list of mods:
- AEM CAI
- Denso Iridium IK20 spark plugs
- Full 2.5" exhaust (Hi flow cat, straight through Magnaflow resonator and straight through Magnaflow Muffler)
- ES Engine mounts
Running BP Ultimate and serviced with Castrol Edge Sport 5W-30.
Here is the dyno graph:
-
it went hard though.
..............until it went TOO hard. :P
Did it blow? lol...
it blew and blew in quite a spectacular way...
lol... don't just stop there :P
What happened?
-
it went hard though.

Did it blow? lol...
I was running my Power FC on base map before and I'm not quite sure if it was knocking.
Driving around normally I registered knock levels of below 15 but then at LIFT full throttle and hard shift I registered max knock of 45.
I better get it tuned first...
-
If on a budget? I'd go the exhaust option. If you go the ECU option you'd probably want to retune it after mods to get more power out of them. That said, I found the mid range gains from a tune to be awesome; I haven't had an exhaust fitted so don't know what the gains are like with it. Only car with the exhaust done was Northy's Sportivo and it had all the bolt ons you could bolt on, it went hard though.
I bought the ECU just yesterday hahaha....
What mods did you have and what typical gains did you get if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks.
