Are you handy with a soldering iron ?? It's very simple to replace electrolytic caps. You'll just need to find the right capacity. There are a few places around that can supply capacitors if you're keen on doing it yourself.

I am handy with mechanical stuff not electrical. I have watched a few youtube vids about replacing caps. I don't know if i am game enough to give it a go.

    Thanks for the reply.

  2. I have a 93 st184 and I am definitely keeping it. The 5sfe engine is so easy to work on and very reliable. Also I love 90s era japanese cars. I just bought a 91 Mazda mx5 and once that is done. I am planning to get a sw20 mr2.

  3. I am not sure what is a corrector module but the speedometer cable for the 5th gen celica connects to the back of the instrument cluster at the center position. As you can see in the picture, it connects to the green round connection.

  4. Hi everyone,

I have a 1993 celica st184. I am looking for a replacement power steering rack. I found one for sale but the guy told me that there are 2 types of steering rack for the st184. The one he got is for the rack that comes with 12mm bolts. he told me to measure the bolts on the head of your rack whether they are 12mm or 14mm. When I asked him to clarify, he told me it is the bolts that connect the head of the rack to the body of the rack.

What does he mean by that ?

    Thanks for your help

    Cheers,

    Aaron
