I have a weird problem with my kx-r my11 (Dec 2010). It plays music from iphone via usb with no problems but struggles with bluetooth audio. Music plays with random pauses in the first minute or so with no problems after that. I also tried iphone 3gs - same problem.

Did anybody have the the same problem?

Yeah I also spoke to Toyota dealership. The cost of parts was about $1k and they mentioned it could not be installed on the steering wheel. A button should be ok but it is not a standard location as in kx-s or grande.

eBay USA has 2011 fog lights for new Highlander for about $250 including wiring, switch, relay etc

Please check with a local auto electrician how much is to install and let us know.

Hi, you can try to get 12V from OBD connector, look up the driver side near steering wheel.

My front doors are closing too easy so I end up slamming them all the time. The back-seat doors are just comfortable for me.

Fuel consumption in town is realistic. Did not know that KX-R has Hill Start Assist ;-)

Never tried that but it should not be hard. The only tricky part is to find a place to put the wires under the dashboard. Again you can search eBay for 6 sensors parking systems.

As dealer told me all affected car owners will be notified. Toyota supplied VIN numbers range for car that got this problem. My KX-R MY11 doesn't have this issue.

You can start with carsales.com.au to search for lowest price across Australia. Then go to your nearest dealership and get better price :-) You have all the right reason to get good price - old model, previous year built - they will be happy to get rid of it.

Hi, for $36k you can try to get a new KX-r (5 seat, 2wd), old model MY10. Also demo would suit you. Dealers can very flexible on the old shaped Kluger. You get all rego costs included and get fixed price service $170 for 3 years.

I reckon Kluger in AU = Highlander in US (Highlander name was taken on Australian market by some other car brand).

In fact, my owner manual says Toyota Highlander.

It is safe to assume that all Highlander info is relevant to Kluger.

I'm afraid there is no easy way to do it rather than getting the head unit out.

Just a reminder that when you promised full tank of fuel with a new car you need to make sure it is written on the contract (like everything else you discuss verbally).

I have not got full tank when I picked up my car as the guy who sold it to me was on leave and now I have to wait till he is back and confirm that he promised me that.

Ended up paying $54 for premium number plates. Originally was quoted $100 but after a question why that much was told: Ok, will charge you original cost of $54 :)

Tried to connect my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.1) via USB to a new Kluger KX-R MY11 at a dealership. Had no problem at all.

Hi all,

Dealer told me that they use standard yellow plates (NSW) that costs $37 from RTA. Did you pay any extra to upgrade to a premium plate (black&white, $75 from RTA)?
