  1. The aux pin (No 2) on the trailer wiring pin MAY be a 12 volt line - but it is more likely to be connected to reversing lights. If the towbar and wiring were done by Toyota it will almost certainly be wired as reversing lights.

Usually the aux pin is only wired up with constant 12 volt power when the wiring is specifically set up to tow a caravan/camper trailer.

  2. Has anyone bought a new Aurion? I haven't seen a new one on our roads in WA yet!

Just spotted a new Aurion on the streets of Brisbane - unmarked police vehicle. First time I've seen Queensland Police Aurion that is not Sportivo variant - this was a red ATX
  3. wow the new aurion sportivo ZR6 looks really really good! Its new body kit definitely gives the car a more sportier look. The front is epic and the rear bumper i love. The tail lights are gay compare to the first model aurion, but overall a very nice aggressive looking car. I can't wait to see one of these things in real life.

At our Hybrid launch test field day they had the new Aurion Sportivo there and i stood there talking for a while and noticed the comments about Sportivo was 50/50 lovers and hated some guys said "i love what they've done with it" and others thought it looked simply overdone and tacky and not helped by the pissy wheels but overall i think most people liked what they saw.

Of Course if people either love it or hate it then it can't be accused of being boring or bland

  4. First a general question:

Given all the data do we conclude that the "Tank Average" display is on the money or what?

    Second:

Very hard to compare one persons driving with anothers particularly the City/Country divide.

I often drive 500k to Brisbane the first part of the trip is a little hilly and I don't use the Cruise - it's more economic to let the car speed up down hill and slow back a tad uphill. On this section the display hands me about 8.3l /100km that's driving as close to 107 as I can.

Once i hit the dual carriageway 110 zone I set cruise at 117 and have frequently arrived at the outskits of Brisbane with displays of 6.8 to 7.2.

It's a Presara with standard Michelin tyres inflated to 38 - 40 psi

I think this is stunning economy.

    While towing a small poptop van - about 1400kg - at 80 - 90kph - no cruise - I get between 12.5 and 15.8 l/100

A little off the fuel topic - I'd like to know what size is the van - and make and model.

How do you find the Aurion for towing the caravan.
