  1. uhm for me it's not worth it cause Any Aurion can sell now at least $15k and for that $15k. I think better to buy an original secondhand TRD then mod it.

Well so be it, but don't think so narrow mindedly too. One can purchase this TRD and utilise the parts in any other car that uses a 2GR-FE. How many supercharged Klugers/RAV4's do you see out there? How about someone who wants to transplant the TRD running gear into another car for a custom build? There can be more than one use for the car. Besides, it has a starting bid of $10k which would equate to better value for those alternative uses specified.

Woo, take it easy there. Im just saying in my opinion. AS you said if anyone want to mod from aurion to TRD then that what i though. what did i say for you to comment as "narrow minded". It would be great to see other car mod with TRD engine.

  2. Hi Guys,

Just happened to drive my friend Corrola 2011, and the car has a very nice steering wheel and gear knob. See the link below

    http://cdn0.caradvice.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/toyota-corolla-interior.jpg

I tried to swap the gear knob with my Aurion, and it fit, but wondering about the steering wheels. Does anyone done it before? or know whether it fit or not? and How much ?

    thanks

  3. Uhm thanks guys but i was thinking is it possible to install the oem sportivo bumper to atx? and I found this on ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-Aurion-sportivo-rear-bumper-/150673856697?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2314dc98b9 , can we install that on atx?

The following thread would have answered your question before you even asked:

    Sportivo front bumper on ATX?

acctually i found that when going through the process of fitting my sportivo kit, the side skirts caused the most trouble.. hence why i went aftermarket for the sides instead of genuine..

for the record though, you can save some money and simply purchase the "skirting" kit from toyota which wont break the bank.. have it painted and fitted by any reputable panel beater..

the sportivo genuine bumper as mentioned is the same as an atx bumper however the sportivo bumper has precut "holes" for the skirting kit to clip into.. on the atx bumper you would either need to cut these holes out, or cut the tabs off the skirting kit and sika flex/bolt the skirting kit on..

there are also a number of brackets and clips you would need to buy, the most important being the two side extension brackets, and also the grey rubber weather strip..

also take into account the fasct that you dont have fog lights on the atx.. whereas the sportivo skirting kit has the holes for fog lights..

Thanks DJKOR, very tempting but any chance you know the price? buy direct from Toyota dealer? what other accessories that i need to buy to make it happens?

  4. Maybe it's knocking/pinging? Have you tried using Premium unleaded to see if you still have the same issue?

Might need to get it to a service center so they can plug the lappie into the computer and make some adjustments or do whatever magic they do to make the car run sweet.

Might even be a bung sensor feeding bad info to the engine management system?

Thanks Beep Beep, I'm running on 98 atm but still that bugging noise. I booked it in for them it get tested this week.
