I'm up for a cruise, but don't have cashies for paintball this time round. Sucks because I heart paintball something chronic!!
It'ld be okay if it was on in mid Jan.

fyi, you can BYO or eat before hand if it's too pricey. But rock up and meet some toyo nutheads :)
-
possibly a faulty O2 sensor. An OBD check will tell straightaway.
-
it could be the hydraulics going clunk as they move the gear shifter into 1st gear. no problem AFAIK.
-
No hills run?
-
No campaigning from Ken-bama? :P

You'll find 2nd hand 2ZZGE engines for around $3000 + fitting.
PM me if you want a sydney contact to source one for you.

gawd you are all talkers, im outta here these forums suck , you all carry on like a bunch of politicians. its so funny really ive been gone for 2 years since i purcased my levin zre152 and guess what nothings changed, youve been talking about headers and cai for zre152 since 2007 ha ha ha. all i got when i asked a serious question about purchasing a sevice manual was " hey mate leave it to the professionals ,, and you cant do that stuff yourself" !
omg you guys must be kidding , total bunch of lift worshipping talk it up pansy's. see you on the roads , if you have lift ,, better be good, i have a few suprises myself.
peace out
It's cos you all drive 4 door girly cars. :P
*runs away!*

Long weekend no? Not a good time for cruising :(

a guy down in WA that has a 2zz MRS told me he could fabricate me a CAI for 80 dollars (without pod) and thats pretty much DIYish.. i guess its doable and maybe abit of R&D on the diameter and all as suggested by trh would save you some money...
Hahaha..That would be me :P
I needed a custom CAI for my conversion.
You'ld just need a maf mount on a pipe, and an appropiately awesome riced sticker on the pipe plus silicon hosing to get this working.
Jasse, if you want one, I have some contacts that can fab this up for you to try out. The guy normally does exhaust manifolds (georgeous ones), so a curved intake pipe won't be that hard, or expensive either.

dw, it'ld be on the map. :P
wayno's done well tho. he's alwasy got something new on the car everytime i see it...wonder what you've done to 'chipmunk' this time round...

Weather is been considered. We'll have alternative cruise maps depending on whether it's wet or dry. Obviously there are large undercover car parks in perth. So don't need to pack an umbrella along.
That being said, running another cruise in summer will be on the cards after this one i'm sure. And being dry, we'll have Wayno's awesome 4 dams cruise to drive on.
-
yeah, i don't recall ever seeing a TRD exhaust gasket...
You can definately use the OEM factory ones from toyota....
the real question should be what was wrong with the old one??
-
Kenneth, u can DIY. PM me on msn, and i'll give you a contact that helped me make mine. Was Cheap, and looked great. :D

i've got the apexi speed meter, so my passengers know how fast i'm going (silly ex gf kept saying i was speeding, when i wasn't, so i installed it to shut her up. :P)

A stroked 2ZZ with disappointing results.
http://www.spyderchat.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=41521
You should ask yourself exactly what you want for that much money...$8k for an extra what? 20..40...80 hp?
A built turbo project will cost in the similar zone, and be 100-200hp.
of course, u can then go stroked 2zz turbo, which is what the dude was planning for. Then u'll get crazy HP.
But then ti's a case of if u had to ask, u can't afford it. :P
whoops. It's $5k for the stroker kit.
-
they can only infringe u once, at the time of hte offence, and can't hit u up again in court. I'ld challange it for sure.
-
o.O
U could probably drive there and back for $150. :P
-
ryding drty? I have been stickered for blue led windscreen washers in my old rolla.
very clean rolla. Love the look. Hit me up when u wanna install some engine bittys.
-
unless u're putting in bigger injectors for your supercharger project...but then u'ld know what ure doing. Everyone else, stay away!! :D
-
Kenneth, you have to remove the plastic engine cover, and it's hiding underneath it.
Looking at the black plastic intake connected to the engine, it's sitting just on top. There's 2 bolts i've indicated which hold it in place.
*sidenote, it's quite ironic, My 2ZZGE engine came out of a sportivo, not a celica.*
-
yeah...1ZZ sucks dog ****.
that's interesting that u had engine failure with precats gutted. maybe the damage was already done?
-
wow...MRS to Rolla...big change over. Sad to hear about ur engine dramas. I'm guessing it was a precats issue.
yeah, a broken 1ZZ is a good reason for a 2ZZ.
...and a broken 2ZZ is a good reason for a built 2ZZ :P
and built 2ZZs don't break.
That's my reckoning anyway. :)
Trying to source a 2ZZ-GE in Brisbane
