  1. Hi all

apparently there isn't alot of choice of bullbars for the 2003 - 2006 older Klugers

got a price from some place in QLD for a "Aerobar" is $2400 including delivery

just scored a great deal on ebay for this bullbar and hoping to see if it's eazier enough for my mechanic and i to install it.

or better to pay a bullbar specialist to install it.

    here are some picks

just from looking at the pics, front reinforcement bar comes off and the bull bar should just bolt stright onto the car.

any help would be of great assistance

  2. Hey Croco

yeah the 2011 Kluger 19 inch wheels went on no issues

only minor hicup is that the tyre profile is a tad too big

the rear tyres rubs on the bottom plate of the suspension so... need to get some new tyres running the correct profile.

only thing is that factory is 225/70/16 and if i was to run correct profile, the 19 inch has limited choice... so.. i may have to run 275 width profiles :(

that's gona kill my fuel consumption

maybe i may need to go down to 18 inch rims

    any suggestions?

  3. Hi

I'll check the Brake reserve and under the car to see if i've lost any fluids tonite.

haven't noticed any oil on my driveway since i've had it.

oh the previous owner is a close mate and he owns his own mechanic workshop so it's always been looked after.

booked in the car with Toyota for the rear boot and master break booster thing (Toyota Recall) for next week.

    let's see what happens

oh... here is a link for all the Toyota Models which was recalled - might be worth a look just in case you never got their letters

  4. hey all

Recently purchased a 2005 Kluger CV and absolutely loving it, 1st big car i've owned compared to my prior little pocket rockets.

Yesterday i was driving home and need to jump on the brakes, and SURPRISE!

The brake peddles operated as normal under heavy braking and then... no resistance and the peddle dropped an inch.

the resistance back in the peddle but the peddle is just above the floor and .... wheels locked up.

Im assuming i've got an issue with the master brake booster, maybe a leak?

    Any opinions?

oh. and i spoke to the previous owner and the master brake booster never went back to the dealership for the Toyota Recall.

  5. Hi All

recently got myself a 2005 Kluger CV base model

didn't like the factory 16 inch wheels and scored a set of late model Kluger 19 inch wheels running 245/55/19

the car looks awsome (i might add)

i know that the new 19 inch and wheels are giving my wheel an extra 30mm in turning circle.

is this extra 30mm going to cause me any issues?

A guy from bridgestone said that it could cause my gearbox to fail

so... just wana see what you guys think.

    cheers

  6. Hi ray, I rang my insurer yesterday and told them what happened and put in a claim, they gave me a claim number, so hopefully everything goes well.

My local toyota dealer rang me today, so they could photos of the damage, so they may not need to send a accesser.

So now its the waiting game.

    fingers crossed dude!

  7. Thanks john, and everyone else for your posts, thanks guys.

yeah I give my insurance company a ring on monday and see were I stand with my no claim bonus, im also going see my house and contents insurance company on monday aswell to see what I can do with them to, my car was parked in my garage so I dont know whether or not that you could claim on your home and contents insurance or not, I quess I will have to wait and see.

I keep everyone posted on my outcome.

Hi Croco, unfortunately most insurance companies have a general exclusion of 'Rodents' check out your product disclosure statement (that useless book you get every year)

so if you want to have the claim paid, you may need to blame it on a possom, reason is

    - possoms are a protected animal (Aus only NOT in NZ) and therefore cannot be classed as rodent and the bite/damage would be very close.

  8. Will they scrub?

Has anyone put these size wheels on corolla 2002?

near perfect fit, depending on the offset - you might just squeeze though with out having to roll your guards
