  1. Daaaaang......They look great! Shame you're up in NSW though. Are they a strip of leds or a single directional one or what?

leds mate...BRIGHT WHITE!...so good..its connected to the top middle lights...and they dim as you lock and unlock your car...so the leds dim out and dim in!...
  2. They count tweeters as being a separate speaker. I don't know how the new Aurions are, but I would assume they have something like

    2x dash tweeters

2x front door speakers (no tweeters)

2x rear door speakers (no tweeters)

4x Parcel Shelf speakers (speaker and tweeter combo x 2)

    EDIT

Just did a quick google search and found this:

    http://www.netcarshow.com/toyota/2012-aurion/

"..The JBL premium audio system's speaker layout includes 2 8cm coaxial speakers with high and mid-range cones, an 8cm speaker on top of the dash, a 17x25cm woof in each front door, a 17x25cm rear-subwoofer and two 8cm rear surround speakers.

Dont have speakers on the rear doors at all...

2 speakers very front near windscreen

    One Speaker windscreen centre

    1 right door

    1 left door

2 speakers rear headrests - left and right

    1 subwoofer - rear right...

    total of 8 speakers...

  3. I dont know if anyone of you remember my question about 10 speakers for the new toyota aurion zr6...but after putting in new under dash leds...i had to rip put the front side door panel...now on this forum some one said that the front doors have 2 speakers in it...but after ripping out the door panel..surprise surprise...it was only one speaker...so in total i have 8 speakers instead of 10 as advertised...should i take this up with the authorities...???

  4. make sure u drive it like a old lady for the first 1000 ks...and try not to rev it above 3000rpm...and stay below 100...this is very important for a NEW car

He's right. I had to drive like that for first 1,000 kms with my car last year. Didn't cruise much. Until september arrived, and car went past 1,000 km mark, I started to cruise around alot. I bought car in june last year and right now I am sitting under 10,000 kms. So 1,000 kms each month since then. Yeah lotta cruising lol

wow really...i got my car october november last year and i hit 7000 marks last week...really need to stop using my car for 6 months...
  5. kptm, haven't noticed any swirl marks, the dealership must have buffed it well. But along this topic: how best to clean? Also, is there any benefit in using premium 98 ULP? Thanks again!

i use 98... havnt used any other so i cant tell u anything...

    Cleaning...

USe the 2 bucket method...AND DONT USE SPONGE TO CLEAN YR CAR!!!..

Just google 2 bucket method car wash and ull get the details... make sure u used a car wash shampoo that is only car wash..no wax in it...(personally i find that car wash shampoo with wax in it dries quicker and leaves water spots)...

mmm no swirl marks...u lucky bugger...i have so many swirls...bloody annoying...

i used turtle wax black box for waxing (takes a long time...but man its worth it..look at the pics)...but its mainly for black cars...but i read on couple of forums...that it can be used for dark greys as yr car...

  6. What exactly do you mean? Has the smart key system changed? I thought you just put your hand on the door handle and it automatically unlocks as long as you have the keyfob on you. At least, its how it works on my 08 ZR6

    nah man...

    wat i mean is...

let say yr dropping yr mate off to his/her place at night... so you dont need to get out of yr car..but the new locking sys is ****, where the driver has to press the unlock button in order to unlock all the doors...where as previously, or in the case of my 2008 landcruiser...one would simply open the door by pulling the INTERIOR handle and the door would unlock...

so im assuming theres no where around the fiddling with the locking system, but i presume one would have altered the button, and made is shine in darkest of nights, where one would not get frustrated by the smallest thing, yet it turns out to be the biggest pain in the *****

  7. Sup homies,

i own a 2012 aurion zr6, and so frustrated with the fact that the unlock button on the drivers door is not illuminated and at night...i, forced to fiddle with buttons on the drivers door to find the unlock button,

have you guys encountered this problem with yr aurions, and if so, what have to done to rectify this issue,

  9. So finally got around doing the leds...

Found a person who did it for 40 bucks...including parts and labour..

ask around at the local toyota dealer..and the ones they sold were 137 + labour(which is accounted hourly) = Imagine what the cost of this would have been...

So what do you all think...

If you want underdash leds or underglows (yes they are illegal, if driven with them on) he does them for 40 bucks installed and 50 bucks respectively.
