  1. Hi

I have 4 genuine 19" Kluger wheels in immaculate cond, no scratches with about 50% tread. You can have them for a $1000 delivered if you like. I just put on 20" Chrome wheels so don't need them.

    Thanks Ray

Hot deal Ray @ $250 ea. Have you put them on Gumtree, should sell easy.

    Cheers.

No Not yet, not in a rush but if any guys here need them let me know

  2. Hi Guys

I have a 2008 KXS Kluger and just recently the rear tailgate window wont open, either with the little button on the rear door handle or the button on the remote, when i use the remote it just makes a single tone beep for about 3 seconds. ANY IDEAS GUYS???

    Thanks Ray

  3. I dont have a new Kluger but my 2008 still looks new..

Number 1 step as most say keep it in a garage especially at night to avoid getting dew on the paintwork than drying out during the day with dirt in it.

I wash mine every week, not sure about twice a year, musn,t have dust where you are and make sure you chamois off, wash in shady area not full sun. I use Meguires products so Meguires car shampoo.

Polish once a year with Meguires Deep Crystal Polish than use Meguires Canubra wax,, I rewax after 6 months, the polish does not remove paint and the wax protects the polished paintwork and makes it easier to wash and keep marks off. I also polish and wax the rims.

Inside on leather use Meguires leather conditioner. If you use Armour All or similar product on your dash make sure you DONT get on perspex that covers your speedo gauges etc, it will stuff it up eventually.

Anyway that my tips and they seem to work for me.

  4. Hi all

First I have to confess I have originally been looking at Ford Territories because of price of the vehicle and the Diesel engine option. But then a mechanic mate said check out a Kluger, Japanese built Toyota beats Aussie built Ford any day.

So, i found a 2012 KX-S AWD with 10,000 km for around $40k, which I recognised was a really good deal. But, I took it for a drive and the pops and rattles were nearly unbearable. It sounded like the dash clips, and also somewhere from under the driver seat and maybe 2nd row seat too. The seller had the radio turned up real loud, and I could still hear the noises, so when I turned it down, we were accompanied by a chorus of clicks and snaps :).

The seller said it had been side swiped so both passenger side doors had been replaced (at least he was honest, at least if that's all that happened, and it was a pretty good repair, the panels and doors all seemed to line up fine). I was wondering if it had a larger share of rattles due to accident.

The fit and finish of the Kluger was streets ahead of Territory, so my sums are $40k for a second hand petrol kluger or $45k for a brand new diesel Territory in the mid spec TS (the titanium is too expensive and ford version of luxury is rubbish compared to Toyota). But those noises worry me and I was wondering if there's any chance I'll be able to find the source and fix the noises (or better still if toyota warranty has ever been found to cover rattles).

I loved everything else about the Kluger. I was also extremely surprised how well the Territory drove, I didn't expect that of a Ford. I didn't expect to be looking at the 2 brands as a comparison. At this stage I think I'd be happier for the first 6 months in the ford with a new car smell and very quiet drive, but that I'd much rather see a Kluger in my driveway for the next 3 years, but just dread hearing those noises every drive.

I guess I just need someone to talk me into or out of one or the other!

Thanks for allowing a tyre kicker to get those thoughts off his chest :)

    Cheers

    Hi

Mate I Have a KX-S AWD just clicked over the 100,000km without a rattle or knock and still drives like new.. I wouldnt buy a crashed one, there are plenty on carsales.com.au and they are keen to sell, offer them 5k under their asking price and someone will need to sell.

    Cheers Ray

  5. I just bought a 2008 KX-S and the prior owner had to get 4 new tyres for the roadworthy. He replaced them with a brand called Sonny, obviously a more budget tyre at $207 each for the 19' tyres. I have no idea as to the quality as yet. They 'look' fine but time will tell. I was looking into the tyre prices before I bought and were disgusted at the cost and availability of tryes for this car. Why did Toyota have to use such an odd sizing ?! Stupid.

Wait til you try them in the wet..I had them on a SS Commodore....DANGEROUS

  6. Hi,

We recently bought a Kluger 2010. It's a great car and we're really happy with it.

When we bought it, the dealership setup the bluetooth with my phone, however, since my wife is driving it more often I'd like to setup hers.

The only problem is that the manual we have doesn't cover the procedure. Can any please give me some pointers on how to do it.

    Our car is a 2010 Kluger KX-R

    Thanks,

    Luke

    Hi

    Check the Radio/cd Manual?

  7. Hi Guys and Girls

Need some new boots for the Kluger and Im 90% sure I'll be going for these Cooper Zeon LTZ, I'd like to do some sand and off road driving and thought these would do nicely.. Anyone had any experience with these? Also wondering how they are handling and noise wise compared to the original Bridgestone Duellers.

    Thanks

    Ray
