  1. I have the same problem right now on my 2007 Toyota Aurion Sportivo SX6.

I had stocks on my Aurion previously and got sick of them soo decided to get a set of 20's. Everything was fine upon fitting my 20's, tested them out and seemed fine.

Although i did notice a very slight shaking through the wheel between 90 - 100km which i didn't have with my stocks. My Aurion was also pulling to the left a fair bit, but i had that same problem with my stocks.

So i decided that it was time to get all four wheels balanced and aligned, i called around and at the time Kmart Tyre and Auto was the cheapest so i decided to go with them.

Had the wheels balanced and aligned and picked my Aurion up 2 hours later. Was driving my Aurion home and everything felt good...i have a pretty decent Focal Sound System soo had the music blasting on the way home.

Had the kids in the car the next day soo i had my subs turned off and music down when i noticed coming from my front right wheel, there was a ticking sound.

Anyway to cut an extremely long story short i took her back to Kmart Tyre and Auto and they continued to tell me it was because of the stones in my tread.

Had them take all the stones out, drove my Aurion home and still making ticking. Called em up and they said oh yeah it's probably just stones as i have a gravel drive way.

Was on my way home from work when i heard the ticking louder than ever and then something shot off my wheel and came under the chassis of my car, after this my steering started to shake at 90-100km again.

Had a look when i got home and was missing a wheel weight. Called Kmart Tyre and Auto and they said bring your car in and we will re-balance the wheels.

They did that, i got my car back and now i have an extremely bad shaking between 100-110km which i never had before taking her to Kmart Tyre and Auto **** GREAT!

Am taking my Aurion back to them tomorrow and if they can't fix the problem than car is going to BOB JANE T MART who is actually cheaper by $20.00!

  2. So it has pretty much been forever since I have done anything to my TRD. Well yesterday (well on Monday because that's when I went in to book her in) I caved in and made the decision to get some Pedders XA Coilovers. I am yet to find my sweet spot with them but all I can say is WOW!

Driving like it is on rails is one way to describe it. I'm still finding it amazing how far it can be pushed now without losing grip. Even when pushed to the point that it does lose traction, it is easy to recover from the slide unlike before where you had to be careful not to swing the weight the other direction and unsettle it even more.

When I had them fitted, I asked for it to be dropped so the top of the tire is pretty much in line with the bottom of the guards. The before and after measurements from the ground to the bottom of the guards are as follows:

    Before / After (cm)

    FR: 68.5 / 66.5

    FL: 69.0 / 67.0

    RR: 68.0 / 64.0

    RL: 68.0 / 64.0

That gives a 20mm drop on the front and a 40mm drop on the rear. One thing to note though is that this is a drop based on the TRD suspension. From previous experience, I found the TRD suspension in comparison to the Sportivo suspension sits 15mm lower in the rear and 13mm lower in the front.

So comparatively speaking, in comparison to an Aurion Sportivo, my TRD now sits 55mm lower in the rear and 33mm lower in the front. The car is pretty close to being level with the front pointing down ever so slightly.

Anyways, enough of that. Now for the pics:

How's it going, was wondering where i would find wheels like these.
