nice car, think i seen it posted on somewhere already, just can't remember where, yeh i wouldn't mind an ST205 as well, however i might cheat a little and save up for a GT2, cause i can't bear selling my car and letting it go
-
hey mate, welcome to the site, nice car u got, do u have any pics?
-
ummm i'm a 6th gen owner but my mate had a 4th gen, well you'll notice that the engine is much more smooth, so u should get a bit of repsonse, but however that doesn't mean that it's more power gain, however you'll get more km's though, but don't expect much though

by any chance can we have a look at what the car looks like? also how are the car prices over there?
-
thanks for the input guys, i decided to let my insurance take care of this problem, less headaches, also that way my repairs have warranty as well but yeah he cost is considerably higher than when my mate had his rear end resprayed
-
Panel shop would've quoted rear bumper, rear bumper brackets and supports, paint and labour...
$990 sounds like an average price...
Why do you care anyway??? It wasn't your fault and you don't have to pay for it... Who cares how much it costs to get fixed??? You want a good repair rather than a cheap one cause the guy it paying cash...
yeh true, i kinda feel sorry for the guy otherwise i would have gone through the insurance company (depending on how it goes, i'm still waiting for repairs) the thing is the car isn't under his name but rather his dad's, but come to think of it, yeah that price is pretty fair considering of a new bumper and labour. I'm not sure how the guy is gowing to pay for it, he said that he's going to ask his mechanic, i'll see how it goes and if i don't like the outcome, i'll just contact my insurance company.
shouldn't cost more then $500-$600mine is costing $400 at bargain basement prices because I pleaded with the guy because I'm selling the car.
but i guess that depends on the parts and the labour and the type of car

oh yep i forgot to mention, its a
95 Celica ZR, with rear bumper damage, the damage is minor - paint has cracked, bumper may be cracked but i'm not sure, on the quote the guy wrote that he's replacing the bumper, i had pics but my old man took the camera, will post once i find it, i was stationary when the guy hit me from the rear so it wasn't a high speed collision, but i have noticed that when i apply the brake on the car, some loud metal noises are appearing now so something may have popped loose

hey guys, just recently i had my car rear-ended by lolz another toyota, corolla to be exact, the damge wasn't that much considering te only problem i think as far as i know is just the bumper damage, the other driver wanted to pay for the repairs cause the car isn't under his name. Anyhow last week i took it to a smash repair place in Sunshine (Vic) and got quoted $990 to fix, is that a fair price or is it over the top? my mate also recently got his complete rear end resprayed for $1K. So i'm not sure if that's a fair price, what does anyone else think?
-
geez that doesn't sound good, and here i am thinking that buying a second hand car was a mistake for me, hope it turns out well for ya
-
hey mate, welcome to the forum :) nice car u got there and that's a pretty good deal, just whack on some rims and it'll be sweet but how on earth did u get it down to a lower price if u don't mind me asking?

ewwwwwwwwwwwww i second that...sti = peugot .................and the evo looks like a commodore yuk yuk
u must be blind! dont ruin the evo's name by comparing it to a commonwhore!!!
Evo IX is love. absolutely perfect car.
cept for the crummy interior (barring the recaro's which are perfect)
so nice to drive, almost effortless to go fast.
turning circle... well... lets just say its similar to the QE2
i think she meant abiut the X, come 2 think the X looks like it, hate to say it but after 9, the X is a let down in terms of looks
