Howzit Guys
I have been registered on this forum for years but equally have not followed so i thought a reintroduction is necessary.
I have recently moved to Sydney from South Africa, low and behold couldn't shake the Toyota brand and got a yaris :-)
Hope to meetup and learn/enjoy the new country/city/surroundings.
So Hello again, take care and chat soon.

I was going to put off spending money on my car for a few weeks but after driving the stivo in the fog th is morning and seeing how much it craved the cold air i think im going to make an exception and splurge on a CAI :D
Get it man.
U wont regret.
-
I told u..............
Powder Coat the pipe. U sucking in hot air thats y.
IT is a problem with cold starts but only happens in the morning.
The rest of the day is fine for me.
Car is going nicely, i will take u for a spin ;-)
powder coating the pipe won't make a rats difference to the way the car goes nor will it change the heat resistance....
Most of the CAI's that are used on this forum require you to warm the car up first before you drive away.
As for the flat spot do an ECU reset.
Well if its a stainless steel pipe would it not get too hot. Therefore sending in hot air?
-
Tested the car out with a before and after race with the CAI.
Gains are good

Ya it does seem to have gotten softer.

Best thing about a CAI is when you downshift and get a nice SHHHH sound. NA blow off valve FTW
Yup, i have been asked if the care is turbo'd or supercharged :D
How i wish.

Fitted the CAI on my X a few night ago.
All i can do is grin now.
Car pulls nicely and the sound is just awesome.
Im scaring the guys next to me when it hits lift :D

Hi Guys,
I love this forum but before you flame me i have read the previously posted topics on this subject.
Very interesting indeed.
But what i would like to know, from the guys that have done it and know about it.
What would be the best way to get it setup/mapped for the RunX RSi(Sportivo).
And i will be fitting the CAI in conjunction with this.
Thanks in advance guys for your help and suggestions.
-
The CES is what most would like to put on their sportivos but it costs a pretty penny!
i would go 2.5" straight through
Thanks man.
Is that 63mm.
Gonna get it done 2morrow.
Feel with the 57 mm back box it may be building to much back pressure.
But i still suspect it will be better of the line.
-
Sorry to worry.
Any help here guys.
This is a specific setup and i cant find any info on it.
Thanks
