  1. Hi,


    I got my new 2014 toyota automatic ascent sport 2 weeks ago, when I was washing my car yesterday, I noticed there is something strange on the edge of the back seat doors, a thin layer of metal (see attached) I'm not sure it is normal or they were trying to conceal sth(?!).


    Does anyone have an idea? I got my car from toyota car dealer. Thanks very much.

  2. Did you hear any grinding/crunching noises? In the old days you'd run the risk of damaging the starter motor and the flywheel ring gear, these days I'm fairly sure most cars have an over-ride which prevents activation of the starter motor if the engine is already running (a very simple circuit and something which I think should be standard on every car).
