  1. Thanks for the responses,

Putting things into perspective, you guys are correct to some extend. The best fuel consumpstion vs the worse fuel consumption varies only about 2L/100km at the very worse.

Unless you use the car for 100000km/year, your fuel costs is insignificant compare to registration, service, insurance and loan. So in many ways, it does not matter if I'm wasteful with fuel as I don't travel that much.

    Bong

    I beg to differ...

Fuel for me 14-15L/100kms.. averaging 15,000ks a year.... = 2250L of petrol per year... at $1.40L = $3150 PER YEAR OF FUEL!

thats not insignificant compared to servicing etc

Add to that some stupid bogan in an XF ute rear ended me on Friday and drove off.. Got the F#$kers numberplate though.. went to cops and have made an insurance claim... OH the joy of cars!

that pretty high....you must belt your car around all day everyday

Or i may have sold my sportivo and drive a Skyline now :)

  3. The car is also getting alot hotter sitting in traffic.. so the aircon has to work much much harder..

I would have set it to the lowest temp (not auto)

Example.. My bike.. on a 30 deg day sits on 85-89deg while cruising along.. as soon as i stop at traffic lights it heats up too 108deg before the thermo fan kicks in.. Makes your nuts nice and toasty

Thats almost 20 degrees hotter within 15-30 seconds

  4. Sorry guys had to turn around... Gearbox wasnt happy with me.. Didnt want to get stuck miles away from melbourne

What happened Dave? I thought you just recently changed your gearbox oil and everything. Was wondering where the heck you went.

Yer started making some funky noises... and crunching alot.. Tried to tell you on the radio.. but you either didnt have it on.. or music too loud :P..

Going to get it looked at today.. I think Bearings, 1st, 2nd and 4th gear syncros are going to need replacing.. Oh well life goes on

  5. Have you figured out yet why the boost guage goes up to "+7" yet it only hits half way? If not its because its not psi but +7 signifies 1 bar so it is reading correct.

Yer mate.. im not as thick as some..

this has being my dream car for years upon years... so ive done alot of reading.. mainly at SAU :)

Already got an ehaust (HKS) and have a the recommended bleed vavle for upping boost.. (wont be going on for a while yet)

    Plans in order are..

    CAI

    FMIC

    Power FC

and thats about it for performance..

thinking of maybe installing a Carputer too :yahoo:
