  1. Hi guys,

The time has come again for my beloved Sportivo to go in for a service (120k) and I'm way too pi$$ed off with Canberra Toyota in Phillip to take it back there (I could rant, but lets just say it involved a severed wire and a lack of information).

Where do you guys get your cars serviced?

    Thanks,

    Jen

  2. Hi all,

I did a search and couldn't find anything specific.

The time has come again for my beloved Sportivo to go in for a service (120k) and I'm way too pi$$ed off with Canberra Toyota in Phillip to take it back there (I could rant, but lets just say it involved a severed wire and a lack of information).

Anyone have any recommendations for a service in the Canberra/Queanbeyan area?

    Thanks,

    Jen

  3. About 2 weeks ago dad told me he spotted a red Sportivo, dumped with a sunroof. He was driving the Evo not his S'tivo so he didn't go crazy waving or anything.

Spotted again Jen, you must be racking up the kms on your car lol.

Was that the white Evo going from the Monaro hwy to Tuggeranong? If so, he waved anyway as I was admiring his wheels

Simo, I was starting to wonder what happened to you! I'm around all weekend, so call me whenever. I read the installation instructions and I have a feeling I'll electrocute myself! And I'm not a snob, just visually impared apparently! I didn't see you!

  4. Installing them may require backup

    Plenty of that around.

Dom has done his, Airbourne has them too I think. and the rest of us boys are pretty handy :D

    Hey Tayles,

I've just read the installation instructions and I may have to take you guys up on the kind offer..... or I'll just wing it and once I've electrocuted myself, disabled the sterio, headlights and all the other electrics of the car, I'll call on the Canberra boys for help!

    Thanks again.

Watch this space for an emergency plea for assistance

  5. Are we talking the Mitsubishi Evo 6???

In which case I'd be fairly cautious. The Evo 6 would have had to be imported into the country, they didn't start selling them here untill the 8 and therefore parts/ servicing etc would be fairly expensive. Insurance??? be warned, I've looked the insurance for these things and it's really not cheap. I'd also expect the Evo 6 to be thrashed in it's last 7 odd years (I mean really, who wouldn't!).

But having said all that, I have been following the Evo since the 6 and will one day own one. I console myself with the fact that I bought a fantastic set of Toyota stivo training wheels to prepare me for the day I can afford to fork out $60k for a car..... So don't let me discourage you

  6. also anyone want to group buy on illuminated door sills :D

+group buy on TRD throwovers :D

+ideas on cheap places that paint abs plastic....(matching the metallic corolla colours)..[got something needing paint]

Illuminated door sills, I saw some of them at the Sydney National meet, they looked very schmick, I'd be keen :)

I think I'd leave you guys to your bogan night, you can count me out of that one!
