2004 hilux destoryed looking at changing engine over... in Hilux Club Posted November 11, 2014 hi guys, sunday i flipped my 2004 sr5 turbo diseal hilux on the highway. (im alive and okay) my roof is crushed but engine front back all okay. its a long story but i dont have insurance to cover. i paid $22k 6 months ago, has 115kms on the clock, manual. what im thinking of doing is buying a older hilux/4runner/surf and changing my engine into it & anythink else that will swap over. can anyone tell me what models of hilux will fit a 2004 turbo disel engine in? im new to all this so thank in advance.
