  1. Hi Guys,

Done mine today at 7 days Tyres, they did use the heat gun and the rolling thing.

    http://www.7daytyres.com.au

    Address:

    7 Days Tyres & Wheels

    15 - 21 Parramatta Rd

    Granville NSW Australia 2142

    Phone: 02 9760 2500

$70 to roll up the rear guards, job done OK, as long as no crack on paints, test drive on few big bumps and no more scrubbing tyres.

    :yahoo:

  2. Hi Guys,

I own a 03 Stivo and currently using 16" +38offset rims, which is wider than standard.

My rear tires are rubbing the guard when drive on bumpy roads. The guard only touch the tires little bit so I think roll the guard will do.

Anyone have this done to your car? Any good place for me to visit in Sydney so I can roll the guard little bit??

    :yahoo:

    Cheers

    Zenkins

  3. I have the AEM CAI installed 2 months ago on my 03 stivo. Yup, it's great on the top end, especially during lift and you will said "WoW" :yahoo:

The only cons with the CAI is my car use lot more petrol than before, and slower on the low end (1000~3000rpm) with just the CAI mod.

I think, CAI is good if getting mod with exhaust and ECU, or something like E-managment or CAMCON.

did you do an ECU reset??

i get better fuel consumption with CAI.. before was getting 580-620 ks a tank (i drive HARDDD though so i was happy) now i get 650-700 ... still driving VERY hard and stilll very very happy :)

always used 98 octane fuel though...

Yes, I did reset the ECU, but still use more petrol compare to standard airbox lol..

by the way, I normally using V-Power or Votex, but I get stuck in traffic for at least an hour everyday (excepted Sat and Sun), so might be at idle or low rpm my car use more petrol with CAI than std airbox.. not sure lol..

I normally get 480~500km a tank, but with the CAI is only up around 420~450km a tank now.

Does anyone have any A/F dyno figures with standard airbox compare to CAI??

  5. Kool GtiRboy.. :D

There are few car wash cafe' around my area, but sometimes you just want to spend some time with your hand to wash your own car lol.. :P

my brother in law was telling me about some place near coogee or something, its one of those carwashes where you pay people to wash your car..

get this $15 for a handwash!!!

and it came out pretty smick...the guy there offered to detail his car for $90 which includes a hand polish, polishing the bullbar and sports bars(its a rodeo), i htink a full interior steamclean/dry clean jobbie thing

if that aint cheap, then waht isnt?

i gotta find out where it is as im going to try it..oh and hes goingto get his car detailed there soon, so if its good then i'l let you guys know!

  6. Hi all,

Just purchased a sec hand CAMCON and looking for somewhere to tune it. I don't have any A/F gauge so I think better to do it on Dyno ..

I search around especially on TOCA, found out people talk about TODA dyno tune CAMCON for $250~300?? Are they in NSW?? if anyone could give me their address that would be great!!~

If anyone have other suggestions, feel free to let me know too..

  7. Hi Saintly,

Thanks for your info, but we only have underground car park, and no water supply in there. I think it would be easier to clean the car somewhere else lol..

zenkinsw, i've checked with our strata management and they've said that you can wash your car with a bucket...

but every strata management could be different, so check with yours (or agent)

  8. I am using 205 16" 50 F1 GSD3 Thailand made...

-little bit nosiy compare to standard rolla stivo tyres.

-Good in wet, give you trust during rainy days. :P

-corners OK, tyres will scream before it reach the limit, easy to predict, great control feeling.

-donno about tyres wearing as my tyres still very new, but compound feel soft, I assume it won't last that long.

  9. I found the fuel cut affect by type of fuel we use..

When I be tigh a.s.s and put normal premium on my car, somehow it allow to rev 8200~8300rpm...

    When I give goodies 98 Octane fuel, it cut-out 7800rpm!! :o

I donno would that be affect by weather too, but that's what I experiences so far..

but honestly, the power is drop between 7800~8300rpm with standard ECU anyway, I think just drive the car within rev limit is good enough, unless you really need to keep high rev on some certain corners lol..

  10. Hi Blue_Rolla,

Do you have the actual address?? I'm new in Sydney so still donno many places.. :P

I search the suburb you told and it's about 15km away from my home, songs alright with me..

Do you guys go there often? If yes, we might able to meet somedays together lol.. :P

a few of us have made the one at dural our local... but thats not really close to ryde...

the dural one is good cos its pretty big, you get good time for your $$, and there's a hungry jacks across the carpark... what more could you want?

there's one in norwest, just near hillsong church... and i think there's one just near rosehill racecourse / hooters... but that might have closed down...

    Yes Nek,

Not allow due to Strata in Sydney..

I really hate apartment, noisy, less privacy, no party, NO CAR WASH~~ :(

bad luck we in contract, can't wait to move out next year~

I wish to wash my car in front of my house, but I'm living in Apartment now and not allow lol.. :(

Does it actually state that you are not allowed to wash your car?

Ive washed my car at my mates apartment before, no one says anything :)

  11. Hi Nek,

I wish to wash my car in front of my house, but I'm living in Apartment now and not allow lol.. :(

    hehe

    Your house + a bucket :P

But seriously i dont know any places around ryde... anyways whats wrong with washing the car at your place anyway? I wash my car in front of my house all the time (once every two months :P) with a bucket. Last time i checked that was still legal.

  12. Hi all,

I living in West Ryde area, and there is only One DIY car wash place close to the train station, but it is real suck, the place is dirty and the water guy feel gummy when you hold it.

Does anyone know any DIY car wash place close to West Ryde?

  13. Um... seems like they want your car for selling parts more than really towing service.. :(

Do you remember, have you sign any paper before they tow your car away? If the tow guy tell you it will cost that much to get the car back from their place, I think your will tow the car straight back to home.

Just my opinion, find some panel shops that you trust and ask their advice, you might able to sell the car to panel shops and they will find the way to get your car back..

If your engine and gearbox is still alive with no crack, I think it still worth more than $1200 tow fees.

  14. Hi,

I drove back from Sydney to Melbourne during Easter break, The rev was keeping 3~4000rpm on 6 gear. I through it will drink up lots of petrol, but suprise me it take 580km before the fuel light ON.

During busy traffic in Sydney, I can only make 470~500km before the fuel light ON.

It is pretty happy to have a econ car combine with good speed lol. :D

Hi all, Just thought i would post the fuel economy i got out of my stock 2005 sportivo. Recently did a trip from melbourne to adelaide, adelaide to mildura, then mildura back to adelaide......total km's including little in each town = 1887 km.

Used BP Ultimate every time i filled up to keep consistency.

Melbourne to Tailem Bend (on way to adelaide) = 651km, used 51L, economy = 7.80 L/100km

    * sat on 120km/h most of the way

    * Two occupants, boot full of bags

Tailem Bend to Adelaide, around adelaide and all the way to mildura = 639km, used 47l, economy = 7.3l/100km * I was too hung over to drive the adelaide to mildura stint, Girlfriend drove, second time she has driven sportivo, each time i looked over at speedo she had a grin on her face and was sitting on around 130kmh, she also managed to do a sweet overtake, 4th gear past a bloody 4WD and caravan and a B double....almost hit lift in 4th.....she loved it.

Mildura back to Melbourne = 597 km, used 48.8 L, economy of 8.18L/100km

    * I did the drive from mildura back to melbourne, sat on 120kmh most of the way and did a fair bit of overtaking and spirited driving from marong turn off all the way into city(150km) hence the bad economy.

Overall average economy for all 3 stints = 1887 km travelled, 146.6 litres of fuel used, av economy of 7.76l/100km

all of the kms travelled were spaced over 4 days......was real happy withthe car...by the end of the trip the car felt real good....like it had all cobwebs blown out...guessing the ECU had just adjusted to the type of driving over the 1800km s

    cheers
