  1. Hi gang. Been away for a while and boy hasn't the site changed here on the forum.

Tried a search but got nowhere. So here is the problem.

When it is cold like early morning or late at night and I go to start the Camry, she starts up like she is running on less than all 4. The engine shakes and the revs stay low. Then after a few seconds she starts to run okay. I have had her serviced recently including plugs and also have done a few injector and fuel treatments.

I seem to remeber something from a while ago on this forum about a Cold Air Circuet that gets "gunked" up but cannot recall if it was a V6 thing or the old work horse 2.4.

Any ideas or links greatly appreciated.

    Yours in Toyota.

    Spider.

  2. Okay so I have a Camry 2.4 so it is a differant keetle of fish but as mine was an ex rent a thrasher, it is going awesome and is up to 120k. I know that the rent a car mob that had it prior to me NEVER service auto trannys and so the tranny was first serviced at around 90k, but is performing perfectly. Por old Tarago had 155k rent a thrasher klicks on it so its first tranny service was at that. Still pulls like a 14 year old school boy. Only issue so far was standard stuff like an engine mount, (Van had been in a couple of rent a car crashes.) and brake rotors. Over 200K on it now and still great, shame the ex took it. If you have a good mechenic that is 9 tenths the battle right there. That along with all the helpfull souls on this list, you cannot go wrong.

Having said that I am still unable to find a place in Western Sydney or a report of one to sort out the dreaded "pull to the left" syndrome that is killing my tyres at around 10 to 15k

    Good luck.

  3. L bought after market "oem" fogs for my 2007 Altise from USA on ebay and had an electrician do the install. $120 for install with a rocker switch, 70 aud for lights and about that for postage. Very happy. Rocker switch was install in the dash blank on the rhs of the steering wheel below the ignition. Kit came with bulbs, relay, wiring and bezels as well. Cannot recall supplier sorry.
