  1. Since December 2015 I've been a pretty happy owner of a '93 Supra Aerotop. Previous owner just let things go on it sadly, mostly interior because "it's only cosmetic".

With me it doesn't matter if something is mechanical or cosmetic it shouldn't be left to get worse. I personally feel I have saved this Supra more than anything else.

This is still an ongoing project, there's still areas that need to be attended to. Most all cosmetic though.

A lot has been done in the past 3 months, other than a general service (as much as I don't feel it was done correctly) many neglected areas have been refreshed.

    • Rear seat was replaced, holes in the top.
    • All rusted wiper blade arms repainted
    • Faded Wiper cowl repainted
    • Faded centre caps repainted
    • Faded plate garnishes repainted
    • Chipped, flaking steering wheel replaced
    • Rippled, broken sun visors replaced
    • Dash pieces replaced with OEM "woodgrain" dash pieces (previous dash pieces were from a Series 2 Supra with a switch that had no function)
    • 215 tyres replaced with correct 225 tyres for the stock 16" rims.
    • Stains removed from carpet and floormats
    • Dials/Gauges LEDs replaced (couldn't see the dashboard at night, half of the globes were dead).
    • Immobiliser flasher relocated to centre of the dash piece in a factory option cover. Instead of drilled hole near ignition barrel like before.
    • All dash pieces now secured with screws. (Previous owner didn't screw any of them in, and were all being held by clips and cable tension).
    • All 3 handbrake cables replaced
    • Brake discs machined
    • Brake pads resurfaced
    • O-ring replaced
    • Spark plugs replaced
    • Serpentine belt replaced
    • New headunit installed, and repaired all dodgy wiring.

  2. Did a search but couldn't find any answers really...

I ordered one of the NETZ emblems from Japan, part number 75311-12A20. I just went to go fit it and, it's too small. My Corolla is the facelift ZRE152 model, which this badge apparently fits.

Does the front grill have to be swapped out for this emblem to work? The Toyota emblem is a little bigger than the NETZ emblem, I did inspect the Toyota one and the pins are in the exact same spot, they're just a little shorter in terms of distance apart. A bit bummed from this as I really wanted to put the emblem on :(

    Any help is appreciated :)
