Thanks for your input, it's good hearing from someone who has actually had something done. How much did they charge you for the TRD filter & is it a paper element or a washable?

With regards with the exhaust system as i work in the industrie i have changed my sx6 with 2 new megaflow mufflers on the back end has a nice deep note but not droning at all. You will not find a big difference with the performance with changing the cats or the size of the pipe work. it should cost about $500.00 including tips and the mufflers are s/s 409 with a 5 year warranty. You can get it done at Kirrawee Exhaust or Carline Mt Druitt and Windsor Exhaust. I gain about 5-7 Kw by changing the exhaust. I had my car Dynoed and its has 149.9 Kw at the wheels the person that did it said thats pritty dame good for a stock aurion. The only other thing i have changed is the air filter i bought a TRD one from Castle hill toyota it was cheaper the a K&n filter from the USA.

could you please tell me what brand of speakers did u use ? and would 7 X 10 speaker fit in the front doors ?

Hi,

I used eclipse speakers (fujitsu ten). 7 x 10 would be a tight fit. You could probably fit them, however depth would be an issue. The 6x9 only have about 3-4 mm gab between the magnet and the window glass when it opens. Bringing the speakers forward with a bigger baffle would cause them to interfere with the door trim.

6x9's give excellent bass and clarity. Can't see why you would need more.

thanks for the info !! i just happen to have a set of 7 x 10 in the shed i thought i could use them instead of them gathering dust good try anyway :(

On a recent road trip 1400km with a new SX6 we got 7.8/100 against a stock XR6T 10/100. overall we thought the SX6 was a great car good build quality . The SX6 pulled 1/2 car on the T for 1st 60ft from lights untill boost powered on. Prob due to 6sp agaist 4 sp auto's.And held it's own also in the overtaking lanes as well.
