    Your argument on economy ignores the significantly less depreciation over the life of the vehicle. You're also missing the point that petrol only vehicles will likely begin to fall out of favour as the rise in hybrids and electric continue for the next decade. In 10 years time you'd be wanting to own a hybrid vs a petrol V6 with resale. Battery packs will be cheaper by then too.

    The batteries are now guaranteed by Toyota for 10 years.

    They are also quicker than the 4.
