OMG !! Is that a hole in the piston ???

Man, 16K for a new donk. Ouchy !! Good to see woolworths came through for you. You just never know with those damn petrol stations and th the quality of fuel you're getting. Looks like you probably filled up from the dregs of the tank. There always seem to be a layer of sludgy/watery crud in the bottom foot or so of the tanks. Why they don't inspect and clean them out regularly is beyond me.

I wonder how many others before and after you came forward too ?? There has to be quite a few. Do you know of any others who filled up from that same crud station ?

Can you name the outlet or did you have to sign a waiver ??

Its a crack.. Yeah seems bit pricey but all new fuel lines and full system flush included, all takes time i guess. Woolies made me start a complaint with the fuel supplier but am not sure if anyone else has had issues. Agree with the tank clean and maintenance, but hard to understand why my filters didn't do the job? No waiver mate, it was United fuel. Wont ever go there again.

    Cheers

  2. An update for all those interested. My insurance company (Woolworths) covered the entire cost of my engine replacement. I had my diesel drained and found it severely contaminated with water which they were satisfied caused my engine to fail and not the injectors. A long process but worthwhile as the bill come to nearly 16k for a new donk. Stay classy Ladies and Gents

  3. Thanks guys and I have done all of the above. It was more of a heads up to save some members grief with the above seller. eBay has directed me to the ACCC. I have also approached Denso direct who are trying to fob me off but I'm pretty persistent! I cannot prove they are cheap knock offs as they are very convincing if they are. He goes by a different business name to the eBay store and his Facebook account is closed down. Surprisingly the feedback on eBay is ok but the reviews on the internet aren't so flattering. Its a tough one and ill let you know how I get on. Till then, keep on keeping on gents. ✌️

  4. Gday Gents.. Long time stalker first time poster! Appreciate all the knowledge on here which has pulled me out of a pickle more than once!
Just a real quick heads up. I'm not sure if this is allowed as the forum rules page isn't found, but I'm sure admin will remove if necessary.

I recently replaced my injectors in my 1KD with some "Genuine Denso" injectors purchased from eBay.. yeah I know..smh! These claimed to be "Genuine Denso" from a diesel expert with over 30 years experience. Initially the car performed great, until recently. I have since had 3 out of 4 injectors fail causing those 3 of the cylinders to crack resulting in a new engine. These were NOT cheap and paid a premium for them thinking they were genuine and offered a 12 month manufacturers warranty, but highly likely they were a cheap Chinese knock off. 8K later and here I am. As you can expect, I have tried contacting said seller and nothing but crickets! Any advice on how to proceed to try and get some compensation? Diesel-Assist or Injector Express... Steer clear! Hope you have a better day than me..

    Cheers lads
