  1. i'm was trying to replace the rear speakers on the rear doors and the speakers seem like they are glue or something and it can't be removed  . Does anyone know how to remove them so i can put better speakers in?

oh sorry forgot 2003 corolla sportivo

    cheers

umm.. assuming uve gotten the door off... it shoudl be a few screws and the thing should pop out..

there are no screws it moulded onto the plastic speaker and that is riveted onto the metal on the door!

    has anyone replace these speakers?

  2. hi,

my last car was a evo3 and a 12.5sec car and 13.5s was standard but to get it into a 12 sec car i had to make a few mods all up 200kw plus and 165kw at all for wheels.

    mods included:

    -high flow turbo

    -motec m4 computer

    -turbo back exhaust

    -airfilter

    -600cc injectors

    -bigger fuel pump

    -and at 18psi boost.

all that just to knock of 1sec in time and being a 4wd it jumps like a frog off the line.Sportivo will have alot of trouble getting of the line with that much power so traction will be a big factor.

all i can say is that N/A cars need alot money for mods even for it to run in the 13s, and for 12s i argee with 51eka force induction may be required, probaly turbo.

    :)

  3. Lo,

Just managed to see this looking for some advice...

I have 205/55/16 on my stock stivo rims.

Grip is slightly better, road noise is less, and my speedo is out slightly.

Road holding is slighlty off from the origional tyre size though, as I now have a waggy tail when braking extremely hard, and the car rolls more when I corner hard.

Pull aways are also slightly slower.

It depends on what you'll be using your car for I guess...

For family trips and long road I would happily suggest these, but for a track day every now and then, or some "spirited" city driving I would suggest the standard size or the 205/50's.

    Lata.

    lata,

    thanks heaps for that info!

    what brand tyres you have?

yeah my rolla is only for run around and maybe just a race of the lights but thats about it, no flying around corners etc...so that makes my choice alot more easy.

  4. BlackRolla... Did u get the CAI from Lansvale????

Yeah that's right. Shift Performance Shop 4/175 Hume Highway Lansvale. ph: (02)97289654. Talk to either Anthony or Sam. They treat u well.

Thanks for the advice guys. I will try that and see how it goes. We did disconnect the battery when installing the CAI and it took about 30 mins. But when we connected it back up again I did not let it idle for 15 - 30 mins. Just took off and drove it hard. I will try that when I get time. disconnect battery for 30 mins and reconnect. Then Let it idle for 15 - 30 mins. All up it would take 1 hour. I don't think I have the patience.:lol:

Thanks again for the feedback. Appreciate it!

blackrolla how much the CAI set you back? B)
