  1. However the corolla has it all over the integra in creature comforts, room capacity etc but hey all we want is the performance and handling right ;) ;) ;)

Ohhh that what you call your couch in the front seat (creature comforts).. hahaha

But it's true threads like this on ANY forum is really kinda pointless you agree to disagree.. and it goes on and on.... and on..

  2. i worked for mobil for 6 years and have seen mobil 1 used on everything from porches to classic mgs and rally cars in my opinion this oil is fantastic, motul is another great oil but it has too many additives too enrich the synthetic blend. I have not reached my 1k service yet but it will be the oil of choice after that in my sportivo for sure :D

mmm you work at mobil make you can give us some info..

The mobile 1 team here in australia was shut down right? so it's all imported now? Just want facts to confirm rumours.. can't believe reps that talk to you.. hahaha

Because I was speaking with the Anglomoil Rep and he told me that some of the guys who worked on the Mobile 1 oil team has now moved to Anglomoil and developing they Syn oil..

I personally use Elf and Royal Purple now..

  3. You too mate see you early next year :D

    ok see you then!!

easy, could have been a cheap ***** flex your mechanic used, I doubt a stock ECU'd Z motor is capable of generating enough EGT to destroy a quality flex joint. If it was running in a state of tune to ruin a good one, the ECU would go into limp mode and then you would really notice the difference...

Exhausts do run hot, Marks melted the lip of his rear bumper, as have a bunch of other ZZE corollas. The heat at the tip is more to do with the rear muffler and tip design than anything else (and if you're running a cat :P).

Stop guessing and go get it dyno'd with a wideband, if it is running lean, something simple like a SAFC or emanage will fix it with only 15-20mins of dyno tuning for half the price of a unichip

Doesn't Corey have a box full of emanagers hahaha

    Seriously i think he does..

  4. Also don't forget you will have to change to a complete ECU change.. I guess you can use a PowerFC but if I was doing this... I would go a full blown ECU.. like Autronic, motec and so on.. EMS (Engine Munching System) is never an option!! hahha

So full blown of one those system is like 4k or so.. with all the trimmings..

Alot of money you better be serious.. haha i dont think your car would be considered a daily driver no more.. unless your going to be running top of the line semi on 7-8" wide rims.. imagine the cost of that every 4 months..

  5. Well from what I have seen and done on corolla sportivos.. I will say one thing..

It is a great car.. in some respect.. BUT OMFG can they mix more parts into a single in it's life!!!!

There bits of everything in that car.. At least now you know why WE here in sydney worked so hard to get the 2 cars going with a powerFC we had to do alot of work..

We still finishing off 1 more thing before we go to market.. and we have worked out 1 thing... there is NO WAY we can make 1 timing\fuel map to work with all cars.. there no 2 cars the same when it comes to a your version of vtec..

even with the honda DC5 ITR the I-VTEC is the same thing.. every car has to be tuned.. hence getting a powerFC into a corolla is not going to be cheap..

When we go live we will estimate supply, fit and tune to be around the 2.5k mark which i am sure the melb guys will come to the same price with the additional tuning... when they get it right..

Well it is good that we have another company feeling the pain we went thru here at AMS hehehehe

  6. Pre tuned plug and play ECU with a preset Map is not useable.. if your expecting massive gains..

We never talked up the amount of gains but only proven by the 2 cars Corey and Bill. If anyone been in them you know what I am talking about..

Also just for some stats.. Corey car did over 63 runs on the dyno and run number 29 (around there) was the best map we went to.. Bill car did like 58 runs.. and run 38 was the best.. All in all both maps were completely different.. and lift change points were also different but both cars perform amazingly..

Preset maps are dangerous especially ones from Japan.. We have a few incidents of Subaru owners plugging in a PowerFC with the factory maps and the car was pinging at idle!! I would advise that ALL powerFC be installed by professional and at a tuner ready to remap the whole ECU. If your going to invest in an ECU pay the extra and get it tuned by a professional..

We are working on one more change and we will push out more PowerFC in sydney by AMS (Ant Motorsport)

Good luck to Meridian I hope they get amazing results like we did.. There a whole lot of fun to be had now..

Watch out Honda world.. hahha well the DC5 ITR anyways hehehe

Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year..

  7. If he's only getting 14.8 down the 1/4 mile with that work done he doesn't know how to drive!!!

The one I heard about was Black... supposedly out of the Rigoli stable, which I thought strange in itself as they are Rotory specialists??

mmmm never heard of a rigoli sportivo... they are normally a turbo house mainly.. but if it is a rigoli!! maybe they stealth a turbo sportivo in sydney :o !!

  8. it's easy to get a decent performance increasing exhaust, can be done on a budget too.  You just have to select the exhaust components carefully.  There's no need to spend over $500 on just a cat-back.  For anything close to $1K I'd expect a metalcat included in the system.

I like this guy!!! quality parts :) metalcats are soooo nice.. :) 620 flow sooo nice.. eat magic cats (which burns up ..) for dinner..

finally we jap racing cats in australia for under $500 FITTED not like the old days where cats that flow like this were like 1200.. from japan..

DUDE! I know your're trying to help, but i have no idea what you just said!

Seriously man! :P its like some crazy jap dude speaking gangsta!

haha its called trying to type on a forum while trying to do some work.. and also having a few members on this forum spamming me on msn..

I was just commenting on someone knowing what a metalcat is :) its an excellent product.. the flow metalcat currently produce is normally only seen in japan on their racing cats.. which cost around the $1200 mark..

Also in regards to CES exhaust. This exhaust is a great product its not perfect by any means... when it comes to direct bolt on system which is not.. some of the hooks dont exactly line up perfectly. As the CES system that was installed on a car here in sydney the muffler was not horizonal to the ground.. I am assuming it suppose to if not that "ohhh" :o

I am sure a good exhaust shop can reproduce the system easily.. its nothing complicated as it's only a cat back..

  9. seems strange, go to all that work and use the stock airbox, sounds bit sus to me...

nah he just sold it.. because someone or a mate offered him decent money for it.. he selling his car.. so what ever comes off easy you sell that off becuae you never get your money back selling it with the car..

    :) :)

  11. small correction on my previous comment.  Dave Flood is not Dave from SAS, so I can't vouch for the motec figure. Can get a little confusing when there's two "Dyno Dave"'s  :o

ARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGG tell dave from SAS to tell his customer not to call him dyno dave.. Or he is going to lose customers without even knowing why..

    especially on forums.. hahahha

  12. I believe the figure, Dyno Dave is very good.

err dyno dave did this 132kw atw on a motec??

has dyno dave finally bought a dyno? or is he still using a rental?

The only sportivo that i have seen even come close to this was leanne ferrari's and she had the engine blue printed..... big $$$$$$$$$

WOAH!!! Blue printing is LOVE!!! :) :) because while your doing that.. i am sure the engine builder did some stealth Extrude Honing :) :) i know i would if i was blue printing hehehe

if not blue printing it still an awesome mod.. but damn you have to be minted!! or serious about wanting to race your car.. or getting it ready for some serious internals :)

    respect to leanne!!

  13. i was speaking to dave flud (race guys will know who im taking about..) anywayz he has quoted 6 grand installed and tuned for the motec  i saw a  132 ATW's from a stivo with no other  mods other than the ecu before ppl call bs and dyno's lie ect. this is on the same dyno that recorded 158 on my 13 sec twinturbo cressi

the fc is awsome for its price but the motech lets you do some nasty stuff which i have in mind   :D  :D  :D

ok guys.. the guy who tuned the PFC for northy is a motec/autronic dealer.. and he is one of the most well known tuners in sydney.. we are keeping him name secret atm as we want to pump out 2 sportivo with PFC and get them perfect before we release anymore information.. 1 in bris (wonder who that is) and there one in sydney in a few weeks...

He and anyone non brand sponsored tuner will tell you there nothing that a motec can do for a STOCK sportivo that a PFC can't do..

To get a Haltech/Autronic ECU to do the same features as PFC will cost you from 4-7k it's as simple as that..

if you can get a PFC to work in a car do it!! you will never be disappointed.. but if you cant then your best option is a Haltech or Autronic.. they are the best..

to get 132kw ATW on a stock sportivo.. i dont even car how many TRD bolt on it has I would say no way in hell.. and to bring that car to a dyno on a random choice to prove this claim.. i dont care what figures it claims or have prints out for.. only way is to have to dyno setup once and 1 base sportivo run up for baseline.. and this other 132kw sportivo run up... operator is not allowed to change any setting..

Croydon Autosports have now been picked up on a dyno lie..

    Check this thread

    http://forums.clubrsx.com/showthread.php?t=309585

Figures mean nothing when your comparing cars at different dyno and so on..

There lots and lots of dyno discussion all over the world.. but that is a massive claim for a sportivo with no internals...

Don't forget guys we are still in R&D for the PFC its not just plug in atm.. but kit nearly out..

  14. post-866-1127881580_thumb.jpghey guys, jst wanted some educated rolla driver opinions on these rims.

have an 05 white sportivo, wondering wat u guys think!

    im honestly unsure...

i mean i like the wheels but dont kno if they'd look 'right' on a rolla....im sure ive seen them in silver on a rolla somewhere...

    wat u guys rekon?

there rims are on every ALOT HSV!!!

check them out... not exactly those make but 1 spoke thicker than the other...

eww do you want HSV type wheels on a jap car.. :P

  15. the above pic ^^^ was when shao still owned the vehicle and had koni adjustables n kings....

im sure that now northy has zero 2s the "effect" wont be as dramatic  :)

Sorry to bust your bubble.. but if you think adjustable koni and springs can match a set of high quality coilovers.. and you think its not going to make a difference.. you need to get your facts straight and drive in a set of coilovers..

  16. Very nice !  :)  :)

Need more posts like this on the forum

haha yea we bring some honda skills here... :P :P

And comments that the car should be lower.. you need a slap.. :) It is set up to perform not show!!

Don't even think about it Corey!!

We kinda stopped Felix taking photos because we were getting bored and i didnt want to move the car anymore.. ROFL

And I wasn't gonna get wet for a spotivo... hahah

  17. hahah yeh man... i REALLY REALLY wanted them on hahaha

nah bought some at auto one... not rays... but yeh i was desperate haha :P and it still looks awesome...!! thanks again james... my car runs quicker... less weight adn more power down below! turning is also so nice man.. light rims are the way to go everyone... cos stock rims are heavy mf's

    haha nice one...

Well all you need to do next with those.. get lighter tyres.. I like the GIII but they are a heavy tyre...

Since the rims are only like 6kg per corner.. Things to consider to further accel is to replace front rotors with light weight ones.. DBA 5000 slotted 2 piece would be nice!!! they are sooo light..

and the other parts i was talking about yesterday :) shhhhhh

    ahaha
