  1. Had my Sat nav checked out at the dealer yesterday. I found out that to get into the DIAGNOSTIC MODE, do the following:

    1. Put your ignition key in "ACC" position

    2. Turn your headlights to the OFF position if you have them on AUTO.

    3. The Nav should display the Toyota banner and then wait at the disclaimer screen (blah bla bla "I AGREE"). While on this screen, press and hold down the "info" button on the Nav and at the same time flick your head lights on then off three times. Don't do this too quickly.

There you have it - the diagnostic mode!!

what was the reason for having the sat nav checked out?

I had alook at the diagnostic mode you had mentioned and came across a section called reversing camera. I have been trying to find out if i can connect a reversing camera to the system and utiliese the screen for vision but the toyota dealer could not help - any ideas?

    <_<

  2. I searched for one for my dec 2003 model - couldnt find a download version - but found a soft cover manual to purchase.

    Go to this site: www.marque.com.au

select toyota - then find kluger and lexus - check eng no is the same as yours - it was for mine. Note it does not cover the genuine sat nav system in the grande models - but covers evething else.

    hope this helped.

  3. please help.

    I own a 2003 model kluger grande.

Recently, I have a incurred a problem with the control buttons around the display screen. These buttons contol the climate display, the sat nav system dispaly and the info and audio systems display- they work sometimes and not other times.

When they are not working and your press the climate button - a message comes up on the screen "Air conditioning system not connected", or if I press the map button for the sat nav - "External devices are not connected".

I prefer not to take it to my local dealer and the next closest dealer is 250kms away.

Does anyone have any idea or has had this same problem?

Does anyone know where or how the air con systems and sat nav system are connected into the screen or how to get to these connections to check if they are loose?

    :help:
