  1. Put a multimeter between one of the battery clamps and the terminal on the battery, set to amps. Leave it sit connected for a half an hour or so then check the reading. You would expect it to draw some small number of milliamps with the ignition off. Don't try to start it or even turn on lights or anything or you could blow the fouse or the meter itself.

Let us know how much current it's drawing. 3 weeks is not absolutely terrible but it isn't fantastic either.

  2. It depends on the stereo I suppose. Someone put a Pioneer one in mine which isn't original. I suppose it's hit & miss whether it works or not, best to try one out before you buy it. Am using an el-Cheapo Nokia that cost me €140 but havn't bothered to try pairing it yet

  3. Hi

I am after designing a 3d printable version of the plastic hinge commonly used on Aussie hiluxes. They are very expensive to buy particularly for me since I live in Ireland and will be paying high shipping and import tax on them. So if you have access to a 3d printer you can download my stl file and print your own. I printed a few in PLA which is apparently not ideal with UV light but they seem to be holding up OK. I havn't bothered with the lower part of the hinge yet as it seems less prone to breakage
