I have changed my wedge bulbs and it is a slightly difficult process. You will need to do the following for each side.

1. Adjust steering wheel to give you a good working space on the side you are wanting to replace the wedge bulb.

2. Remove wheel well guard.

3. Once removed, access is tricky but possible.

4. Replace bulb

5. Reattach all wheel well guards.

I changed my "more yellowish" wedge bulbs to match the headlights (standard halogen).

since I will buy the nightbreaker and they give me a pair of this, is this for the low light/park light (the one on the very corner light)?

If it is, what size do I need? or only one size?

Hi insi, yes this will be the corner light, your parker lights, typically most if not all cars would use the wedge bulb (the one you are getting). There should be only one size for these, I havent experienced any different size ones.

Just to note, this will be difficult to replace as there is a metal frame covering this section, you may need to remove the headlight and fit it in I think... but not sure, I didn't do it yet coz I couldnt be bothered at the time.

Hi, Have you tried the traditional method if starting with a full tank, drive until almost empty, fill up (take note of amount of petrol pumped in and distance travelled since last pump) and calculate the consumption.

Personally, I find that when i drive within suburbs the car does about 10.5 l/100km. On the highway, it does much better at 8.3 l/100km.

Let us know what you get. Seems like you might have the most economical Aurion around!

First of all, I'm not sure if this has already been answered or not. I tried searching but i couldn't find anything specific to my question. So i apologise if it's already been answered.

But let me get down to it...

In December i bought a '07 Aurion Sportivo sx6. So far its been pretty good, no major problems (beside the 'clicking' noise with the VVT-i which seems pretty common as others have stated on this forum).

My question relates to the fuel economy, or rather reported fuel economy. The gauge constantly reports 8.4-8.5l/100km. Obviously thats is very good, but i'm starting to think it maybe too good.

I do about 80% of my driving to and from work, which is pretty much in bumper to bumper traffic for most of the trip. I have however tested it on highway driving also, and find it hardly (if at all) goes higher than the 8.5l/100km reading. Granted, i generally take it easy and don't really 'thrash' it around, as the traffic kind of prohibits that.

I guess I am just checking if, I should be worried about the low reading (IE. something is wrong under the hood), or I should just shut up and enjoy the low fuel usage.

Any help is appreciated.

Hey guys, what is the "H" of the bulbs in the Aurion headlights.. I'm buying some HID Xenon and need to know the number that accompanies the H, i.e. H3/H5 etc etc.

My nokia 6300 , e65 , motorola v360 all connect to the blutooth first time.

THe only thing to remember...when your talking and then turn the car off when your stopped disconnects it. Wish there was a way of turning the ignition off without loosing connection. I end up sitting in the car with the engine running until i finish my conversation. Then again I might not have read the instructions :)

I've found that if you DO NOT put the car in "Park" before you turn off the engine, the accessories stayed up powered up. I think that will allow you to keep talking on the Blue tooth without the engine running. Try that.

That sounds RIGHT! Put the car in NEUTRAL and turn the engine off. The electronics stay on in my Aurion to allow me to enjoy my CDs whilst waiting for the wife.

I've done about 6000km and I noticed that the fuel economy actually gets better with time. I started out doing around 12L/100km using normal Shell unleaded on the first tank.

Then I switched to Shell Premium unleaded which gave a significant improvement since. I am currently doing about 575km (when range reaches Zero) and that fills up about 55L of fuel. Working that out equals about 9.6L/100km. This is doing about 30mins of 100km/h, 20mins of 80km/h and the rest 15mins residential speeds.

we should make up an aurion website. dont you guys think??? someone do a poll and if its well picked up one of us with web design abilities should make it. that way it will be more organised. aurion meets etc. would be nice.

yeh, a seperate website. i love this website as you said its very organised but i want to it to be just based on aurion. it would be more individual.

So how is the FWD after all that? Is there much problems keeping it straight? Torque steer etc?

Well to be honest.. i didnt encounter anything at all.... and i had it in the rain on the friday night, and i had no problem keeping traction thru the front wheels...

Only holden and ford enthusiasts will use the FWD as a critisism... I dont know what car "Drive" reviewed but i had no problem keeping the 241kW in tact thru the front wheels...

Remember toyota has more safety gadgets and things to keep the car behaving as they wish than any other car in its class....

what about keeping traction when cornering (ie understeer) how's that? oh and did you drive it without traction control (can you remove it)?

Traction control cannot be switched on or off, apparently that is also the case with the standard aurions....

No understeer or oversteer at all, and i was taking corners at pretty high speeds...

My wife has banned me from taking it to any meets, she says i still have my corolla for that!! FEMALES...they will never understand!

But i might be able to sneak it away for an morning meet up or something!

Traction control can be turned off. It is about a 13 step process to turn off traction control. Ask you dealer for help, they should be able to tell you. You will need to turn traction control off especially if you get bogged in soft sand.

1. Remove partial/ full carpeting on underside of boot lid.

2. Access number plate bulb.

3. Twist to remove from holder.

4. change bulb.

5. put everything back the same way you took them out!
