  1. not sure if it still applies, but on the 2001 camry, you turned the key (in the ingnition) frpom off to on 3 times in 3 secs, and then the security light would turn on, and if you pressed the horn and then after the security light flashed u turned the key back to off. it used to turn on the toot as u locked/unlocked. Thats going off memory tho searching for my file with all the camry hidden settings. plus that was 01 model they may have changed it for the aurions will update if i find this file

  2. Channel 1 + 2 for the fronts

Channel 3 + 4 for the rears and bridge 1 + 4 for the SUB (depending on the quality of your amp)

true, but you will end up with interesting resistance across the total load, but as you said...depends on the amp

  3. Hey man

Dont have a rolla so cant help you on the position of the amp, however no you cant run 4 speakers and a sub of a 4Channel amp. That is simply because that would equal 5 channels.

IMO i would use the 4 channel for the speakers and get a new mono for the subby. Or amp the fronts and bridge the rear two channels on the amp to run the subby with abit more grunt. Rears are generally just fillers anyway. sound stages are normally at the front coz thats where u are when driving.

    Hope this helps.

  4. the foggies that came with the bumper were h3's which i just found are not hids...am i correct in this?

therefore a would not need a ballast for them?

You will not need a ballast if you plan to change the bulb for another halogen bulb (ie. 12v 55W etc.) If you want to put HID's in, you WILL need to have a ballast because those HID lamps can't run straight of 12v). In this situation, you are best getting a HID conversion kit which comes with the ballasts and lamps.

    awesum thanks mate!

  5. You need a little more information with that. I would assume from the title that he wants to put HID's in his car. To do that, he will need both a HID lamp AND a ballast. Usually the ballasts are sold with the lamps, so when it comes to suggesting types/brands, it can be a bit broad. Most aftermarket HID conversion kits for standard headlights (ie. H3 mounting) will come with a standard style of high voltage connectors commonly referred to as AMP connectors:

As for where to get them from, I'm probably not the best to ask because if I were to answer that, I would say eBay.

sorry for the lack of info. the foggies that came with the bumper were h3's which i just found are not hids...am i correct in this?

  6. hey guys,

a mate of mine got a new bumper on his 91 liberty, its from the RS Turbo version.

The bulbs in them are H3 12v 55 watts, just wondering 1. Do we need a ballast?

and 2. If we do need a ballast, what type and where to get them?

    Thanks in advance

  7. after taking the air intake resonator off, and having my ecconomy going badly (but the growl going up under load) :P ive decided to do some mods to improve mileage.

and yes im gunna put the resonator back on.

Will puting on a high flow cat and leaving the stock muffler do anything or not?

coz i want to hear my music not my exhaust.

also as some people my know the stock v6 y pipe is stupidly designed. does anyone know how much approx it would cost to get an exhaust shop to custom build a better designed one?

    thanks in advance.

sorry if this makes no sense...im actually really tired :S

  8. i got 800km off 1 tank when i went down to venus bay on hardly using cruise at all and i used just under of a quarter in suburbian driving b4 i left! just shows the advantage of driving on long freeways with no one on em lol

  9. hey guys, im interested in lowering my 2001 camry Conquest.

First of all, what does this entail.

how much drop for lows and super lows will i get

    What does it cost.

    any good places in melbourne?

    thanks in advance

  10. yeah, as tayles said, the 4 cylinders aren't built for power. But the one thing i did with my 6 cylinder was clean the air filter, was SOOOOOO DIRTY, there were leaves in my airbox :S:S:S:S heaps more power afterwards.

another thing you can do is increase the intake piping to a larger size. wont do much for porformance but done with other things may help.

camrys are heavy, so if theres anything i can do without in the boot or anywhere get rid of it.

ummmmm exhausts are meant to help, but i dont know if the 4 cylinder improves much with them.

thats about all i can think of atm.

with regards to a supercharger, they are quite exxy and theres not much room for a turbo (at least in the V6, may be diff with the 4 banga)

    hope thats of some help
