  1. Hi Toyota's,

Time to replace my Toyo's Transpath SW Tyres for another set.

    Considering the following:

    Falken 912

    Toyo Proxes 4

    Kumho Ecsta Spt KU31

Dunlop SP3000A - don't think i can get these within budget...

Anyone out there experiance any of these and also how much are they and where did you purchase these?

I'm looking for a decent tyre within my budget of 200-220 per tyre.

    Thanks...

  2. OUCH $600?? <_<

WELL I bet MY CAI is giving me 10hp more  :P <_< (serious! $600 for an intake is just a rip off!)

If i were you i'd stick with the stock filter. With Pod filters, you need to clean the O2 Sensor regularly.

Yeah ya right 600 bucks as IF!!!

stock filter? how comes? when i got the intake for free from K&N Head office?

  4. Hey,

Since no one has any opinions or comments bout these, just gonna give you guys a headsup. :spiteful:

Well I have emailed K&N Head office in the US and advise if i am able tp purchase this kit (K & N 69 Series Typhoon Kits).

    Website: http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=69-8609TTK

Guranteed 6.4HP which i think is alright.

After liasing with the International Account Manager she advise me that I could use my car as a donor for the Aussie Spec Camry's (Free Shipping and K & N 69 Series Typhoon Kits if it does fit) :yahoo:

By the way my Camry is an 04' Model Sportivo 2.4L Automatic.

She sent me the package/kit and altho it is not a straight fit i managed to do some minor modifications to fit this kit.

Once all done, started up the engine and went for a run. Sounds amazing idle, sounds amazing when driving!

    Here are some pics.

  5. Hi Guys, Im in the process in purchasing a new airfilter for my car.

After having the flat panel TRD one i decided that the price for it 110-150 is not a cheap option anymore so decided to check out

The Injen SRI for the 2.4L Camry 2002-2004 model and also the K & N 69 Series Typhoon Kits which Autoban quoted me about $600

I have found a USA dealer selling these for 350 shipped to NSW Australia and really leaning towards these.

    Website: http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=69-8609TTK

Guranteed 6.4HP which i think is alright.

Does any1 have these kinda of filters?

  6. Hi guys,

I am looking to purchase an A-B car for work purposes.

and was looking for either the Corolla SX/GTI models that someone has already

placed either a silver or backtop

or purchasing an imported corolla levin

Could some recommend a place where i could purchase this car/engine and how much will Ill b spending.

Ppl are saying that the 16v has more potential for mods than the 20v is this true?

    Any thoughts appreciated

  7. Hi guys,

i have contacted my local parts dealership and was advised that if i get kings super lows it should be ok.

I have the sportivo model and was advised that they are sports shocks good for 100,000km or 5 years.

The part department said that the sportivo shocks are of sports design which is different to the base model camrys without sports suspension so i think im safe in this case.

hopefully i wont get any scrapes around town.

  8. hi guys,

i have just dropped in to wholesale suspension in penrith

unfortunately they do not have tein s tech springs

    and was offered king springs.

    2 height available:

    low 30-35mm

    super low 35mm-50mm

has any1 fitted the super low to their GEN5's?

if so hows the ride quality and comfort?

please help dont know which one to pick.

Quoted $470 fitted with wheel alignment.

  9. Hey guys,

any1 here has king springs fitted to the GEN 5 Camrys?

if so hows the ride and also the height?

I'm planning to get these done very soon and dont know if I should stick to Kings or other brands

I have a few springs in mind these are:

    1. Kings Springs.

    2. Eibach Springs (TRD rebadged) or

    3. Tein S Tech Springs

the last 2 options are very popular in the US and in other toyota forums.

  10. Hi guys,

Does any1 have or installed these rebadged TRD springs?

It states lowers the car apprx 1.4inch front and 1.1 back.

If so where is the cheapest place to source these and how much are we looking at.

I got a quote from Eibacj Managing Director and he came up with a figure of approx $590.00 supply of springs only.

I find that abit hefty for just springs alone.

If you guys have these please post any pictures as I am trying to find places that can sell them much cheaper than Eibach directly.

  11. Hi guys,

I will pick up my wheels and tyres tomorrow as i have paid big bucks for them

The tyre's that came in the package are they Toyo Proxes 4

They were going to sell me the Toyo Transpath SW. But I demanded them better tyres

Has any1 had experiances with these?

I heard pretty good reviews and some bad reviews.

I think they are pretty good quality tires.

  12. Hi guys,

im planning to get some wheels for my ride.

can any1 confirm that our offsets are +45?

i found that in order for me to get 18's

i gotta get them in 18x7.5 with +45

is it possible to get 18x8? with no problems or do you recommend to stick to 18x7.5.

    cheers camry owners.

  13. yeh a bit pricey.

right now i have the sportivo springs installed and cosmetically doesnt look that low at all

so i wanted 2 op for the equivilent of the TRD springs.

as if sum1 would fork out 600 bucks on springs and then get them installed put u up 4 bout 800-900 all up.

might as well get headers done.

hmm king springs. well i would consider it but gotta research more on it.

  14. Hi there Camry Owners,

just wondering does any1 know where they sell these Eibach Pro Kit Springs?

if so how much am i looking for a set of these paid cash?

fitment car is '04 Toyota Camry Sportivo 4 Cyl.

I have a quote from the Managing Director of EIbach Australia and wait for this:

We have a Pro Kit for suitable for Camry V30 lowering the car 30mm from new car height. The price for this kit is $530.00 Plus GST freight and handling (and thats pick up)

Pick the kit up from Warriewood; the price is $583.00 including GST

The Pro Kit Produced in the USA are also sold as the TRD Kit in Germany the kit is sold as the TTE Kit the kit we have in stock is from Germany.

I personally think thats a bit hefty unless some1 knows for sure how they cost i aint gonna sweat a whole lot bout it.

  15. Hey there guys,

I'm was wonderin has any1 installed and tested this VVTI controller if so hows the power output and torque and is worth it?

The below is their homepage advertising its first VVTI controller on the market today

    http://www.power-enterprise.co.jp/pr...con/camcon.htm

I have read a test car of 1.8 Corolla auto that has 103 kw at the flywheel fitted with mild exhaust and using standard panel filter. however the test was measured is at the wheels.

Test shows on dyno standard is 66.6kw at the wheels once VVTI controller installed fitted and dynoed it produced 71.5kw at the wheels thats like a 5 kw gain at the wheels how much is that at the flywheel?

What do you guys think of it? i think it would be beneficial for a Camry..
