I HAVE PURCHASED A 1986 TOYOTA CORONA AVANTE 2.4 LITRE.

CAN ANY ONE HELP ME FIND ANY MANUALS FOR THIS CAR?

Hi all.

First time Toyota owner here, and also first time van owner.

Am in the midst on tracking down a starter motor etc for my early 80's LiteAce. I know it is a 1.3 litre engine, it is a 4 speed manual (column), but the4 wreckers are after the year of manufacture.

This is where the problem is - I cannot find the compliance plate.

Someone said underneath the engine, but before i start crawling around the van, I would really like to know where the location of it is.

Also a couple of other questions:

# I am finding it hard to track down a workshop/service manual for it. I get plenty of info for HiAce, but bugger all for LiteAce - this happens for general searches too.

# Also, does anyone have any pics of the inside (dashboard area) so that I can locate what bits are missing.

# Finally, what should be present to hold the engine compartment lid open, as nothing came with it.

If anyone can help, i would really appreciate it.

BTW I am located in the Riverland, South Australia.
