  1. gday guys,

how much trade in price do you guys think i will get for a 2003 toyota corolla ascent auto hatch in cascade blue. features are toyota alloy silver talon rims, tinted windows, ming coat, toyota service history, toyota floor mats and dash mat, toyota headlight covers and bonnet protector and towbar. clean inside and out, 59700kms on clock. looking at changing cars in first half of 2007.

    all the best,

  2. I reakon the front strut bar has made my highway driving a lot smoother. Maybe larger anti-roll bars will reduce the effect of the wind? But if there is a strong wind it will still blow your car around.

what strut bar do u recommend and what is the cost of it?? what are anti roll bars and what do u recommend there??

    all the best,

does a front strut bar change the caster and/or camber??

  3. Check wheel alignment, wheel balance and tyre balance. Also check to see if the sway bar mounts are tight and all bolts holding the sub frame in as well. One Brissy member had a clonk in his front end and it ended up being a sway bar mount was very loose and close to falling off.

    gday guys,

i did get the rear axle beam replaced about 2 months ago, because the old one was bent, however i did also get a wheel alignment done at same time and no probs reported back.

  4. typo... should be It

for the front swaybar, take the wheels off and shine a torch along the swatbar to see if it's bent... what makes you suspect it's damaged, if you gave the whole story we may be able to help you better...

    gday stivo,

just concerned when car shakes and wobbles on freeways at certain places?? when i say shakes and wobbles i mean steering and handling feel crap. have got michelin tyres on car and think may be some of the prob,as i have never had the prob with the old stock dunlops. car feels ok on freeway most times, just some parts it feels crappy. might take it down to pedders for a wheel alignment and wheel balance and see if that improves it.

    all the best,

  5. The rear swarbar is very obious to see. If it is damaged it will be bent or broken.

Tt naturally has a downward inflection if that is what you are concerned about.

    gday mate,

what do u mean by tt?? what are the signs of a damaged front sway bar??

    all the best,

    lauschie

  6. gday guys,

my car's steering wheel sometimes shakes when i slow down and brake. What could cause this problem?? steering wheel doesnt stay straight when driving in a straight line on freeways at high speeds, tends to move to left a little bit. what could cause this problem??

    all the best,

  7. Anti-roll bar is the proper name for a sway bar.

If you want to move towards understeer fit a smaller rear anti-roll bar or a larger front anti-roll bar.

If you want to move towards oversteer fit a larger rear anti-roll bar or a smaller front anti-roll bar.

    gday superdave,

what is fitted standard to a 03 corolla hatch, front and back??

    all the best,

  9. gday guys,

what is the job of a front and rear sway bar?? secondly, what is meant by oversteer and understeer?? has anyone here replaced their sway bars and did it improve steering and handling?? what sway bars did u use to replace original?? how much did they cost including labour??

    all the best,
