I bought a new Altise last August. Three months later, large mount of water was discovered under the carpet in the boot. The covering boards under the carpet are soaking wet. The half of the spare tyre was in the water.
Checked the car at the Service Division, found the reverse parking sensor wiring grommet did not fit properly, and water could flow inside the boot whenever it rains. (It was raining a lot in Sydney during November!)
So check you car boot esp. if you have a reverse parking sensors fitted. It can be very dangerous if water affects car electronics.
