  1. you are correct about the throttle body of the accord is on the other side

but the tubing can be cut and flipped around so that it fits on the right side of the engine

i found a few links that may help you, i've wanted to do this mod but dont have tools to cut the tube

the other option is to have it custom made

another way is you could cut a hole in the factory air box and get one of those flexi tubing and route it somewhere to the front?

  2. hey there

i also would like a cai in my paseo

i currently have a sri that i brought from america $60~ shipped everything included

though i have read on toronto paseo forum, some of the guys there used a cai kit from a honda accord

they cut one of the tubes and rotated so that it could fit

    hope that helps

if u find any info lemme know i want cai lols

  3. hey hehe

i put some 17's on mine

the sales person at the tyre store said

"17" tyres are more common, 9/10 we have them in stock, 16" arent so common so they have to be ordered in"

i didnt buy the rims+tyre off them though

but it seemed abit logical to me, i see more cars with 17" rims then 16"

must say the ride comfort has gone abit but oh well

they still look nice on my car hehe i'm happy with them

though i'm pretty sure i have to lower my car an 1" lol

i thnk u guys would agree on that xD

  4. i've done as "the_random_hero" said

unscrewing the speedo cable and feeding it through the firewall

doing that helped a great deal, was easier to unclip the 3 connectors

left, middle & right are attached together

just press the tab down and wiggle it off doesnt require alot of effort

only hard part is to get ur hand behind it

i also attached an image before and after of the dash

doesnt look too bad, alot better then the dull green glow

  5. hey there

i've been trying to remove my dash instrument panel as well to replace some of the blown bulbs to new blue leds

i'm pretty much stuck were you are

got the plastic trim removed and cluster unscrewed, can pull the thing towards me

i know there are cables at the back, speedo and electrical cables but can't unclip them

i've read off this forum, just need patience when removing it

    http://www.tercelreference.com/articles/5t...uster_swap.html

i'll probably give it a try when i have time

hope that helps you in some way, if u manage to undo the clips let me know how u did it

    :D

  6. hi all, just wondeirng if anyone could help me out.

recently one of the parker bulbs blew out so i decided to replace them with white leds

tested both bulbs on the right side they both work

but when i installed the leds to both, only the right side works

left one doesnt work at all, but will work with the halogen bulb

    any thoughts?

  7. hey all

i'm looking to paint bits and pieces of my paseo, i've figured how to remove the main parts, centre con, glove

but i'm having trouble removing the air vents lols

is there a way of removing these? i was thinking of just getting a flat head

and forcing them out but i might break the tabs/plastics that make it pivot up n down

    :D

  9. nice seo

just wondering is the interior is that wrapped with same material as the seats? or is it painted?

also do you have any more pics of the interior? just curious as to how it looks

  10. i own a paseo, my first car, cant complain too much about it, its little easy to drive. get about 400-475km depending on how i drive, but its not bad from a 35l~ tank

i agree with serano, the car does need a nice set of rims, the stock hubs/wheel make the car look pretty bad, i'm very close to gettin rims for my car lols i hope

other then that its a good little car, just dont have any tall people in the backseat cos they'll complain about the headroom and how tight it is, damn them complainers

    hope that helps

  11. thanks for that seano

ive already got new shocks installed, gonna have the mech check the rear suspension see whats making that noise

looking for some new wheels n tyres at the moment should be getting in a month or so around 17" rims with 205/40/17 tyres

after that i'll have a look and see whether to lower or not with the new springs

    just curious, about this

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Toyota-Starlet-Pase...1QQcmdZViewItem

now i know to access the rear suspension of the paseo requires the rear seats to be removed, if this were to go in does that mean i lose the rear seats?

  12. hello to all paseo owners

i was wondering if theres any paseo owners out there who are interested in getting custom seat covers made for their paseo.

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...E:X:RTQ:AU:1123

i've messaged the guy and he said that he doesnt have a template for a paseo but if theres enough interest going he can get some templates working immediately

basically these are not seat covers you buy from shops that slide over the seat, from what i've read and seen they require you to remove the original seat covers comes with a complete diy step by step guide with images to help.

for those who wish to have their paseo interior retrimmed and have asked around for a quote usually costs a thousand or even a few.

    quick overview of the pricing

    - Seat Covers; Full Set (2 2)$495/ Half Set (Front Rear)$370

    - Logo/No Logo; Free Gift, No extra payment required for logo.

    - Logo Colour; customisable if requested

    - Inner/Outer/Stitching Colour; Free Gift, No extra payment required for dual tone format.

    - Extra material per sqm/colour for the door cards, cubby box, central surround, roof, boot, etc... can also be provided.

imo these look sick from the images, so if any paseo owners out there are interested just leave a post on this topic of message the guy

    http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...E:X:RTQ:AU:1123

Edit, recieved this from the person.

    Hi Peter,

If we can get 10 orders together I will take the template immediately.

Also for the forum members pricing will be reduced to $470 as part of a group discount.

The product on offer is professional upholstery retrims, hence a very tight and deep fit that will bring the seats back to brand new factory leather fitted condition.

It is not slide/throw on type seat covers that normally cause all sorts of fitting issues.

The material used is German Leather, %75 genuine leather process further to make it automotive suitable.

Fitment is done the same way as factory, by attaching to the seat frame, which will result in superior fit that will go all the way into curves and corners.

No stitching or gluing is needed,

Step by step installation guide is supplied as part of the offer with many pics specific to your car.

No special skills or tools required.

Most of the pics in my ad are from buyers showing the excellent results.

    Regards
