  1. Mick, what things have you planned so far ie: skiing, adventure stuff, family stuff ???? I have roughly put stuff down so you can check out a range of things..

    Christchurch

Not Much Really, Get Out Of There and See The Rest Of NZ ASAP !!!

    Dunedin

Cadbury Factory, Speights Beer Tour of Brewery, Walk up the steepest street in the world and get a certificate (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baldwin_Street,_Dunedin)

    Milford Sound

Take a Cruise Down The Milford and Check out the sites, or if money is no object, a helicopter ride

    Queenstown

http://www.queenstownadventure.co.nz/ - Shot Over Jet, AJ Hackett Bungy, Luge Riding At the top of Queenstown, Fishing, Skiing, Sightseeing etc... its a great place to go and check out, not the cheapest place in the world anymore tho..

    Franz Josef

http://www.franzjosefglacier.com/ - absolutely unreal, take a tour walk along and through the Glaciers, if your mad, take a dip in one of the glacier pools... or if money is no object heli ride to the top of the glacier

    Hanmer Springs

http://hanmersprings.co.nz/ - great place to go and relax - if on a time restraint, you can always do relax in Rotorua ( North Island )

    Wellington

Te Papa Museum, Tram Ride to the Top of Wellington

    Taupo

Not alot really, relax and play Aqua Golf at Lake Taupo or go Trout Fishing - http://www.laketauponz.com/, Take a trip to Mt Ruapehu as you come up from Wellington and go skiing/snowboarding if there is Snow fall

    Rotorua

http://www.rotoruanz.com/ or http://www.rotorua.nz.com/ - we used alot of the HOT DEAL PACKAGES which can be picked up at the Tourism Centre in the heart of Rotorua, save you a fair bit of cash too.. Too Much to List in Rotorua, definate musts have to be - Luge Riding, Sky Swing, Wai O Tapu Geo Thermal Centre, Skyline Gondolas, Maori Culture Show and Hangi Feast..

    Bay of Islands

Unless you are going in Summer, it wont be as good. Hole in the Rock Boat Cruise, http://www.bay-of-islands.co.nz/, Take a ferry to Russel and explore the island.

    Auckland

http://www.aucklandnz.com/ - Mission Bay, Parnell, Newmarket, City, Sky City Casino and Free Fall From The Top, Check out the Viaduct ( Minus 5 aka http://www.minus5experience.com/ ) go to Greenlane and test drive all the Jap Imports you dont get here Caldina GTT, Dodge Ram SRT10, etc

There is heaps to do in NZ, so depending on time schedule and plans, you can stay longer at places you love, and less time at places you hate. As you will be going near Winter, take some warm clothes, it gets bloody cold down there even during the day...

    Cheers, Chris

  2. AUD60k? i surely wont pay for tat!

I wonder why hilux in malaysia cost sooo much cheaper in malaysia. When compare other cars(camry, landcruiser, bmw, mez..), australia's car always cheaper(due to tax), but just NOT hilux. Anyone here from same country?

Spotted the TRD Hilux at the Easter Show and it looked great... but yes, overpriced, but when the SR5 TD is $50K, an extra $5-$10K isnt a huge jump in price for the TRD

They should bring out a TRD Rav4, that would surely sell alot more...

The reason the Hilux is cheaper in Malaysia, is because they are made in Thailand, So alot of Asia would get the Hilux for cheap...

  3. Depends on your situation, are you living at home, renting, looking at buying, paying off a mortgage etc...

Borrow less = less interest to pay

Do some research and see how much insurance will be for the different year model car's you are looking at.

I bought my AE112R Corolla for just under $10K and its fantastic, insurance is less than $700 a year and I am 25.

    Good Luck

  4. also saw bye-evo friday drivin down my street i see he did paint his rims black very nice job dude saw it when it was parked on hunter street looks like you did a good job

Hey TJ, thanks for the headlight flash the other day, I did spot you driving to work and then on the way home spotted you again going the opposite direction...

  5. Bye Evo:i'd remove the mudflaps on the car in my opinion and try to source for the skirtings like the Sportivo ones which will totally transform the look of ur car :)

I was thinking of getting the side skirts, but they are too chunky and I dont like how there is nothing to complete the kit on the rear bumper.

I will be ordering the Front Lip shortly tho.

    Thanks for your opinion too.

  6. Hi There,

New to the Forums, but not a stranger to the good ol Toyota Corolla, I used to have an AE92 Sedan ( Gunmetal ) with 4AGZE Supercharged Engine and Interior.

Now back in a newer Corolla, this one is just the daily, but would like to do afew things to it as it will eventually be for the Mrs to cart the little one around in..

    99 Toyota Corolla Seca Conquest

    5spd Manual

    Sports Muffler

    17" Rims with Nankang Tyres

Tinted Windows ( will be redone soon as rear window is impossible to see out of due to bubbling )

    7" Touchscreen DVD, TV Player

    Futher Mods

    HB4 - HID Kit - Completed

    Lowered Suspension - Completed

Front Levin or Sportivo Lip Kit

    Fog Lights in Factory Locations

18" Rims ( unsure as to what yet )

If you have an AE112R Corolla, post a link so I can see what you have done to yours.

    Cheers, Chris
