I have 2002 Toyota Prado Grande.

It recently developed an electrical problem, when I start the car none of the gauges, lights etc come on, the car still runs, but everything works normally if I turn the lights on.

When the car is stationery with the motor off, if I turn the lights on, the ignition lights an gauges turn on.

Has anyone successfully disconnected the traction control for sand driving on a 2002 Prado?

The one time I tried driving on sand the traction control kept cutting in and bogging the car, I removed the relay and the car had no further problems.

I thought a dash mounted switch would be more convenient.
