  1. i'd love that spillage :)

and im not sure if the first image is corect i think it is o.o

second picture added, from bon bon's beast, sorry for not asking bon bon but i didn't have a picture :(

for as if we are limiting it to 20 for now it is, but if spillage is able to get it sent directly to peoples houses then i guess we could expand :)

so is the second picture u added what we will be buying through this group buy? I agree with Ken, they look bigger than some that i have seen..Can we get a pic from toyota of what we are buying?

  3. he left the pipe there..the engine light came on n off..but at the end it went away...

what he did was take the whole pipe off..n attatched a small breather there... :) it sounds really sexy too..very high pitch noise

ok cool. So is the breather just a little filter? And is it underneath the engine cover where this pipe comes from? Pics would be awesome if you could get some dave..

  4. mate, i had the exact same problem with my TRD CAI on my facelift many moons ago.

    heres my thread : http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...c=14113&hl=

overall, the orange light cleared by itself over the space of 1-2 weeks--im thinking the ECU learnt to cope with it. But you have to buy a small filter/breather from supercheap. Costs arnd $13--arnd 3cm big.

Doesnt matter about the size as long as the filter looks like a minii, as most of them will come with a small clamp that u can screw on to fit arnd the hole of the cam cover.

    -dave

    hope it helps

I didnt find that thread..thanks for that dave!! But still at the end of that thread they said the pipe has to be connected back onto the air intake? Have you done that or just left the small filter on the end? When you first put the CAI in did you just leave that pipe hanging there with nothing on it, and that was when the light on the dash appeared?

    Thanks for the reply though!!

  5. u can put a small filter on it for time beaing but youll need to install an oil catch can to it or plum it back into your new pipework

have you put one of these CAI on your car? What is the oil catch can going to do? Its part of the air intake i thought...I was going to put a small filter on it but was not sure on the size when i was in autobarn earlier..

I have just got home after levinboy helped me put the CAI in. We just left the pipe we have been asking about, however I just went for a quick drive down to the shops and my engine light is now on. Does anyone know why it would be on? We did everything right in putting the CAI on....Has it got something to do with the pipe coming from the engine block that we have left off??

  6. ... i dont think you disconnect that one??

heres a pic of my engine bay..

    2510081213fo2.th.jpgthpix.gif

i don't remember unplugging or blocking anything off apart from a hole in the cai.. all the piping stays the same from what i remember apart from mounting the sensor to the cai..

i think you misread the post...i have a facelift model, the pre-facelift does not have that pipe that im having trouble with...thanks for the help though

  7. The circle eyes look great! Its a shame we cant see a pic of it on a Rolla but all the same they will look fantastic i think!

Be sure to post pics once its done!

He has posted up pics of it on a rolla...just look back on page 1 and u will find them :D

How About A Group Buy Being Organised? :D

im up for a group buy! they are really cool. I love seeing the new BMW's and some of them other flash cars with the circle eyes, and ive noticed the bemas also have like an eyebrow look going at the top of their lights..i think its the blinker or a parker light, but it looks like the car has eyebrows lol.

  8. Forgot to mention here the other day that i bought a sportivo axleback exhaust from KT668 (Kenneth). Getting is put on this saturday..cant wait!! Looking at buying a TRD cold air intake from ebay in america. Levinboy bought his from this same guy and reccomended him to me so pretty sure im guna buy it soon..

  9. put side skirts on yesterday with help from levinboy. we tried to do the JDM taillight mod but had trouble getting solder to stick so we gave up for now. Today i removed the black side strips which looks heaps better but makes the door sound funny when you shut it now.

here are some pics with the new side skirts on and sided strips removed. Cleaned my car yesterday so its looking pretty good...for a couple of days at least

  10. The problem that i have heard is the door becomes louder when shutting them without these on.

    Solution?

Take off your door trim and place them inside - was reading about it on 9th Gen.

The cost and effort to get them painted will be more then fixing a scratch if you get one due to not having the strips.

yes thts correct.. it gives it a bad hollow noise on the front door especially.. (driver side from my experience but nothing i cant deal without) so yeh

and jeremy i was gna post it up neway but yeh :D hehe all goes well

Ken, did you just pull them off then clean off the glue? My car is black so they dont look so bad but after reading this thread i think i mite take them off lol. the drivers door has a big chip in the strip which they did at the smash repairs....was not happy!! I was not sure if they were painted underneath with the same colour as the car

  11. Hey there, the sunroof was fitted by the previous owner when they took delievery from Sydney City Toyota back in '02-'03.. it was fitted by the guys at City Sunroof Center, located at Enfield, if i recall.. coz i rang them to see how much it costs to determine the value it adds, and for the price of the car it definitely adds value..

Problems you say? *knocks on wood* i've never had any issues at all.. just got to remember to have the keys in the ignition when you want to close the roof properly.. which means an extra few seconds/minutes to make sure it shuts

    hope that helps

i rekon sunroofs add value to many cars especially if they are not common in that range of car...How much did they tell you it would cost to have one put in when you rang them?
