Hi:
I owb a 1999 Hilux 2.7 manual petrol and have an aftermarket tacho almost ready to go.
if has power and lights but the hardest part is locating the wire that pulses.
They all look the same as they say and none of them make sense and no label.
A picture with an arrow would be great

Can anyone tell me how many revs in 5th gear at 100K?

Sorry man, was busy.
Yer 100K's in my 2.4 petrol is about 3000..

where is the bonnet release lever? I need to jump start it.
also is it typical for the transmission to whine slightly in 1,2,3?

10.5 liters/100km

somone suggested the IGN plug on the diagnostic plug near the under bonnet fusebox but no joy on that either
