    Woohoo....have finally been spotted!!

    [QLD]

Yesterday afternoon at the top of Mt Tamborine where the silly people run off the side of a mountain

Is this a regular group trip at all? I'm building at Mt Tamborine at the moment so will soon be a resident along with my Sportivo.

  2. There is a black sportivo here in canberra which had a kit designed by J-racing on it http://www.jracing.com.au/product.php?pid=21

I have no clue who he is and have only seen him on the road once going past waramanga in canberra. I like the front veilside kit, but the wing and back is not to my taste but anyway. I don't think he's a member but if anyone else know's him whack a few posts here. Cheeeerrrs.

What a great looking Stivo.....except for that wing!!!

  3. Hi All,

Have completed a search and couldn't find anything on this, so hopefully am I am not asking a query that has already been posted. I recently took my Sportivo in to Beaurepaires for 4 x new tyres on a Friday and noticed over the weekend after that the wheels were hitting the inside hubs a hell of a lot. Called them back on the Monday to find that they had replaced my 40's with 45's without even telling me about the fact...apparently to make it legal (currently on a Novated Lease). Is this correct, what's the limit of sizes that you can do down from stock before becoming illegal??

    Thanks,

    JUL13

  4. hahaha, that's incredible.. and on a public road too?! this guy is nutz

This is a clip from a movie isn't it - I think the new Dukes Of Hazard one? You can here them calling "cut" right at the very end?! All those other cars are just in formation I reckon for the stunt. But still a crackin' piece of driving...no doubt about that!!!

  5. Azza,

You mention Lexus Brisbane above.  I am due for a 20,000km service in 500km's time - where are they located? It is okay to use them for servicing a Sportivo still under warranty rather than the normal Toyota dealers?

Has anyone used Toyota dealer at Springwood for servicing, they are closest to me but would be interested to hear any feedback on how they are.

    Thanks.

    Hey,

    You'll find them cnr Moggill & Rennies Rd Indooroopilly (07) 3327 1775

Ben is the fella that knows us all, and he is pretty cool.

As technically they are still Toyota, they will service ALL Toyota & Lexus vehicles. You'll find though that any dealer (including non-Toyota dealers) will logbook service all new cars still under manufacturer's warranty. We won't get into warranty issues here, search for those....

My Sportivo was actually sourced and registered through Sci-Fleet at Kedron, who own Lexus of Brisbane, so I then get the added benifit of a free courtesy car when they service my car, as well as the 10% privelege card discount...

They do a good job, and they know the Sportivo's, definitely worth the drive...

    Cheers

    A :)

    Azza,

Thanks heaps for the info. After reading this thread and also searching other threads from Brisbanites I was convinced to go through Lexus Brisbane and am booked in for Wednesday next week.

    Cheers,

    J

  6. bring it to western toyota in guildford

i do them on a day in day out basis.

i am not being biased or anything because i work there, we are a monitor dealership which in turn TMCA relies on these dealerships to mainly deal with a lot of the technical customer service complaints, therfore we touch a lot of warranty issues others will not.

Thats good to know, especially for the guys in Sydney... :)

Can you advise us if there is a dealership in Queensland (Brisbane) that does this type of thing? A lot of us have started using Lexus of Brisbane for our servicing/warranty and they appear to be really good (and competitively priced too - with complimantary choccies :P )

There are quite a few dealers inBrisbane, and there has been some really bad experiences with them so it would be good to find one that everyone can latch onto to...

    Cheers

    Aaron :)

  7. Hi All,

I am just 500km's away from my 20,000km service and am after some advice on what the best oil is to use in my Sportivo. I've only owned the car since 18,000kms so am wanting to have it changed just to be sure.

Someone suggested to me Castrol Synthetic Formula R 0W-30, any thoughts on this one?

    Thanks.

  8. Hey JUL13 welcome to the forum!

Which part of Brisbane are you from? Cause I've seen this car(pretty sure!) on the southside.

You may well have, as I live in Underwood and work at Tingalpa!! Although I have only had it since the 11/5. Before that it resided at Palm Beach.

  9. Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to share my absolute joy at being a Sportivo owner for 2 weeks now!! Sold my Honda VT250C and am now in a near new (only 18000kms on the clock) 2003 model Sportivo which has had a few very nice mods completed on it. Was very sad to see the motorbike go, but the car is fan-bloody-tastic and am having an absolute ball with it.

Have been reading posts for the last week or so and just decided it was time to get involved.

    Cheers,

    J :)
