  1. I had the similar problem after i got a wheel alignment, everytime i went over a bump it would make like a clunking sound, I took it to Toyota and they discovered a missing bolt from under the chassis, so they replaced the bolt and since i havent had the noise at all.

  2. I have a 2003 Camry Sportivo 4 cylinder.

    1. I am insured with YOUI, not sure how it is, havent had to make a claim but was cheaper than previous Budget Direct.

    2. I use BP 95 unleaded seems to do the trick.

    3. I do my own oil changes and minor work, but anything major i take it straight to Toyota.

    4. www.camrystuff.com, is very handy.

  3. Hey i had the Stock Double din headunit before had the same problem, Cd's would run sometimes, Sometimes take 2 - 3 minutes to load, Tried using a lens cleaner but it didn't help, changed cd's burnt them at lower speeds, still didn't work. So i just bought a new headunit. however never had this problem with originals.

  4. Hey just bought a set of Alpine 609 6x9 speakers and after spending hours trying to make new mdf spacers and brackets for these speakers as the holes dont line up, after i put them in i had no bass, im was running them of a eclipse cd3200 headunit. I dont plan on getting an amp sometime, but i figured it would be a slight upgrade from the factory speakers. Just wondering would it even be worth upgrading my speakers if i dont plan on running an amp?

    Thanks

  5. Well i had been having trouble with my OEM headunit, sometimes it wouldn't play burnt cd's, i tried everything from burning at 2x and changing programs...... So anyways i just picked up a eclipse cd3200 single din unit....... The difference in sound is amazing and thats just with the stock speakers, just wondering how do i get the door trims off to upgrade the front 6x9's. Also its looks a bit funny with a single din unit in there, just take some time getting used to.

  6. WEll just picked up my Camry, not a sound from the steering. Feels like im steering a truck though, because they gave me a little tiida to drive around, which the steering was light. Anyways not a cent out of my pocket, Whew

  7. yeah bud your right new steering rack... Well at least its covered under dealer warranty..

Wonder how much a new one would cost anyways. WEll cars in the shop should get back tomorrow.

    Well see how she goes

  8. Just wondering does anyone have a whine in there steering approximately 5 mins after driving. ? Thought it may be low on fluids but it looks ok. I asked Toyota when i put the car in for a service they just said take it back to the dealer. Taking it back today see what they find.

  9. Hey i "upgraded" i had a 2001 magna advance, with an exhaust and a system in it and i was getting about 500 - 575 per tank and most my driving was about 30 kms on highway a day, i since bought a 4 cyl '03 sportivo and i have done 540 with 1/3rd of a tank left, i mean the 4 cylinder isn't the fastest thing, but i find that it is very zippy off the line. Im guessing that the V6 would be a little better than the Magna, on fuel, but i mean it really depends how you drive it, and really the condition of the car. Sorry this isn't much help but from someone that has driven a magna, i would definately say the sportivo is so much better to drive.

  10. Hey since buying my new 2.4 sportivo i have noticed the difference between the economy between the camry and the magna. First time i filled up i managed 620 kms using 55 litres with tyres at 32 psi second time i managed 520kms using 46 litres with tyres at 34 psi. Just wondering what other people are managing and roughly what psi they keep their tyres at.

    Thanks

  11. got it with 120 K, one thing that i am amazed with is the stock stereo, i spent hundreds of dollars on the system i put in the magna, yet not even sounding as good as the stock Camry one, In terms of mods possibly just lowering at the moment, still paying off all the other stuff on the Magna.

  12. Hey fellas, just bought myself a 2003 Camry Sportivo, 2.4 litre, bit of an upgrade from the 3.5 Magna, quite amazed in the Camry as soon as i saw i just had to have it. Well hopefully the fuel bill will be less, but well wait and see.
