Not sure about the stuff you're doing but if you want to get a plug for your ipod, I've seen those 3in1 power adaptors that have a usb plug in them too...might save you alot of work

Hmmm...that might work. You can plug the iPod into a computer via a USB port. I'll have to check on the voltage needed by the iPod and the output voltages of available car adapters. Thanks for the idea!

Newbie here. I want to remove the ashtray assembly (not just the ashtray) from my wife's 2003 Camry so I can use the space to install a power supply for her iPod. After you remove the ashtray, it looks like the sort of thing that might pop right out if you knew just where to insert a blade to release the clips. Or maybe the bezel needs to come off first? I don't want to break anytrhing or mess it up. Does anybody know how this console is put together? Thanks!
