  2. K, people some help please or legal advice ha

About 1year ago I received a parking fine letter from X council, but during that time when the parking fine was issued. The fine was this X council, Y street, and guess what it just happened to be the street that his little sister's boyfriend is attending for TAFE.

My defense was, I wasn't in the country.

My first letter, I provide the driver of that time who used to be my best friend but no longer is...I thought it was done, but then I sent the letter stating that the driver denied he was driving at that time.

2nd letter, its either him or I don't know who it is, because I don't want his sister's boyfriend to be avoid because his on a 1yr license suspension for multiple driving offense.

Guess what today, I got the warrant letter to pay the fine or else they won't allow me to pay for the next rego =="

So friendly advice people? I was thinking of going 2 legal aid for advice =/

  4. My wife returned home the other day after filling her 2001 rav4 up with petrol.

She parked on our drive which has a slight gradient.

the next morning when she went to her car there was a strong smell of petrol, it had leaked from somewhere around where the filler cap is

And i mean leaked a fair amount

I am going to have a closer look tomorrow and was wondering is there anything that it is likely to be? ie a common fault?

have searched online but have not found anything as yet,

    any help greatly appreciated

i know the rav4 01 fuel gauge goes down when parked on a gradient and will readjust itself after driving a bit but never heard of fuel leakage b4

maybe ur wife didnt tighten the lid enough? cause ur suppose 2 hear a click noise when it u shut the lid

  5. Did anyone see the appalling test between the RAV4, X-Trail, and (I think) CRV that was part of the very first Top Gear Australia? They took the cars onto snow, and all three were sliding all over the place, no grip at all. Then they fitted all cars with "snow tyres" and the problems seemed to disappear. I don't know exactly what "snow tyres" are (as for that, I'm not really sure what "snow" is!! :-)) but they seem to talk about them a bit on US forums.

snow tyres are bigger tyres then the ones that comes out of the factory or those retail place...u have order those tyres from aftermarket places

they're usually wider and their psi is usually around 10-20psi giving the driver more control of the vehicle.
