  1. I take no responsibility for this BUT I have a tivo 07' as well had the same problem as you (was getting 12.4l) and I flashed my ecu a few times over a wknd and drove it like I stole it most of the part. After that I went for a 300k country run and ever since then have been good for 9lt on suburban and lowest 6.4l - 7.4l hwy its amazing how economic it can be on hwys if you "manage" too keep her below 2grand ...hope that helps
  2. ah well if i come across a half cut who knows
  3. yeah well i think im stuck with the camry for a while (can you put a v6 in it? lol) trade in on redbook if just crazy so the equity alone would kill me ah well if thats the case its a fujita CAI, new muffler and some rims wont be a aurion but will look the goods
  4. yeah i figured even if i offered to trade it in i think il get shafted big time to swap over, dont want to even think how much a toyota dealer would offer but yeah i just cant stand the fact I could have gotten a bloody v6, the "buzz" of the 4cyl I think will get to me eventually. <_<
  5. hey guys long long time, Had a stivo and was very active on this forum but times they have a changed so I just purchased a 2007 camry sportivo with leather and sunroof. Good car but now Im getting the feeling I should have gotten a aurion cause despite the camry being a great car it is gutless, and its nagging me i could have gotten a v6 for the same price and options and prob the same fuel economy. I got the car at nunawading toyota and they did an awesome job considering I dont have the best credit rating in the world and stupid here didnt even consider the aurion (been out of the toyota game for some time). So what do you guys think sit on the camry for a while then trade for a aurion? Or should just be happy with what I got?
  6. haha so funny havent been here for ages and you guys still talking about the same crap ...its great keep it up on another note i win over all of you on my yamy r1
  7. I thought I came last. wow impressive figures for some of the spotivos guys well done !!
  8. such a waste of money in my view without all the proper build up involved (internals, brakes, sussy etc) if the guy wants numbers buy a s14 or 15 little mods huge results may not be original but il take that over a 2zz motor any day considering how much a sr20 costs
  9. pity i never got a run when i had my stivo ah well il still turn up anyway been a while since i last saw all you guys and want to see some impressive numbers peoples!
  10. spec black you had a good point with the ford xr6 turbos there dirt easy to upgrade and look ok but i think the b4 would be faster cause its lighter and has awd? even a mildly boosted rex im sure could beat a xr6 turbo? someone add some light to this?
  11. yeah you can pik them up for that much but usually stock as a rock and i really dont want to go crazy on mods which is what you usually do to get power from them and usually its the case of not knowing if its been thrashed and in the in get whipped by a vl with mod boost, my hearts pretty set on the liberty b4 havent really found anything that can offer bang for ya buck like it and normally driven by conservative drivers (hopefully)
  12. thanks for the input guys keep it coming. The only thing danz that puts me off the alfa is its maintenance costs involved and the obscene amounts of $$$ you have to spend on services. The b4 on the other had woulldnt be that severe plus i know a mechanic at sti docklands :D looking at tegs but i would only go for dc5's just purely on looks and there a much newer car
  13. thanks for the input guys im taking my time on this one, i would stay with toyota theres only a few i like e.g. supra, soarer tt, but to find a good example is hard and im sort of over there shape now. The aristo il look into thanks. As for the s15 someone made a good point where i would just be pouring more money into it to make it go harder plus there everywhere in melbourne, and no offence to anyone but alot of tools drive them lol. The teg type r is great little screamer but this car will be a daily driver and after a while i think the track feel and real on normal roads will get on my nerves, as for the tuning i would also feel im stuck with another n/a stivo drama but the parts are readily available but $$$$. Then theres the b4 if you ask me still my top choice its got everything leather, awd, twin turbo that sexy as boxer engine the only thing is turbo lag but i have researched this and apparently it can be resolved with ecu tuning at mrt for a pretty good price too bringing you to around 170 at all fours which would bring me a grin from ear to ear. The alfa is another choice its just a hot italian car which i hear goes really well too. But the parts and servicing are apparently $$$ but then again how much would it cost to keep a b4 serviced and running well? Also i hear the alfas are plauged by problems, someone pull me up on this if im wrong phew so there ya have it
  14. well it all over folks my stivo goes this weekend but i plan to still stay around the forums and go to the occasional cruise but the time has come to move on to greener pastures. Now the question is at hand as to what i want to get next! i have a few months to decide but need suggestions my budget is really no more than 23k so i was looking at: subaru liberty b4 nissan 200sx (s15 jap spec) honda teg type r alfa romeo gtv v6 damn the list goes on any other cars you guys can think of please add your thoughts or hack my choices to pieces lol cheers
  15. new sti looks like a peugot i would take a old bug eye over that!!
