  1. Did some research... In China they have a 2.7L VVTI 4 cyclinder as standard... the 3.5 V6 is optional at a price.... arnt we luck here in OZ?
  2. Gday all, Has Anyone replaced their Kluger Suspension with Heavy Duty Springs? Im not necessarily trying to raise the height of the kluger but keep the height of the vehicle close to the unladen height when the vehicle is heavily loaded. I do some long distance travelling a few times a year and load the kluger with lots of goodies, the rear droops and makes the headlights shine upwards, thinking of just replacing the rear springs only with King Springs to give the rear end a bit of balance... My theory is that if I keep the front Original the ride quality wont suffer that much from stiff spring syndrome... Been Looking at the King Spring Catalogue... Year: 5/07+ Make & Model: Kluger GSU Front Raised: KTFR-132 Rear Raised: KTRR-133 yet to get prices for these springs and fitting costs... may also need amber kits and other things too.... Hmmm Any Comments? Cheers
  3. My reply on the You Tube Comment section... Be Fair Driving is an ART, it is 90% Driver 10% Vehicle, as you can see too much acceleration causes wheel spin, stop on a slope then start again... no momentum... result the 2 tonne toyota is stranded, so what!... Come on Guys... for a fair comparison show us the other vehicles try and do a stop start up hill or at least change the driver in the toyota! Anyone else think so? ps... a better driver takes a run up and keeps momentum, goes easy on the accelerator and avoids wheel spin, dont clog the tyres! I wonder what are all these front wheel drive cars doing there in the first place, they are designed for sealed roads... Car testing?? Really? Wow... since there is an AWD version of the Kluger / Highlander available for a little extra would that make any difference? I feel the Kluger/Highlander is a soft roader, with 200kw Power and 333Nm Tourque with most of it coming on tap from idle it can do 0-100km in 8 seconds flat, but with the wrong driver it cant go up a slippery hill... *LOL* OK
  4. I was surprised when Swan Hill Toyota gave me a Full Tank in the 2009 Kluger, and surprised again with a Full Tank in my brothers 2009 Aurion, because my wife only got half a Tank in her 2008 Yaris... so while its not standard practice if they do give you a full tank its another reason to come back and do business with them again... think of it as a bonus! Oh and if you find your self there ask for Kyal... I found him very Patient and Genuine, something to look foward to compared to previous sales consultants ive encountered. Cheers! David
  5. Dunlop tyres and the steering wheel is on the wrong side... lol

I'd like to see a pic of the rectangler lights - I'm sure they would match the headlights well. TWO THUMBS UP... GOOD SIZE NOT TOOOOO BIG FOR THE KLUGIE... available from toyota dealer comes as a set of one spot one spread with switches and relays.... can diy fit if you know what ur doing... kluger has easy access through fire wall... just do a search on ipf 808 lights and give you all details... cost about $300 something but japan made and worth it over the narva only other choice would be hella... but didnt like them as much... my kluger still in pieces as i am working on it... might be a while before i can put up pics... i have a slow internet connection... ok cheers and good luck with the lights dave

From memory there are about 3 clips along the top beneath the A/C controls and two on the bottom. Then on the wings either side which go to the glove box and steering column I think there are two top and bottom. I think I started by prying off the wings at the top with my fingers and just pulling hard until it came out at one of the clips, and then working around the edge of the panel until all clips were out. You just have to keep pulling and trust you're not going to break anything, which I found hard to do the first time. Bravery... Trust... Confidence... Reassurance... will give it a go... Thankyou... Im still nervous though... will wait to weekend to do it slowly

Hi Guys,Im trying to remove the trim panel below the stereo, so i can add a switch in the blank spot, ive got a grande mode which doesnt have the ciggy tray and as such is a little different and very hard to get off, any tips for removing the trim like where the clips are and how many? Thanks in advance to any help... ;) ps.. how about the trim panel near the snow button... im assuming its just pry and pull up but im scared of breaking something
  10. Hello Guys, picking up my 4x2 grande this week, asked about the sunroof open / close via remote control lock / unlock button holding and they said they didnt know anything about it. any instructions on where to find a how to program for them? Thanks
  11. Ok, well so far initial indications point to $48,900 on road for the Kluger Altitude FWD, Negotiable... what are you getting and which dealer did you get it from im interested in nudge bar, tow bar, side steps and reverse sensors
  12. Im only guessing that there will be a facelift version coming out soon after the altitude promo ends... hoping for blinker lights on the side mirrors and rectangle shaped rear reflectors, but at the promo price im sooooo tempted to do a trade on my 02'camry ... if only it came with leather i would be handing over the keys... like NOW! Post up a price if you end up with the altitude fwd... im still hunting... ;)
  13. Toyota Link mirror should be made by gentex / donnelly and should have an access flap for battery replacement... just a thought...
  14. from my knowledge the motor is in the roof just behind the acutal sliding panel and works using steel cable and pullys... but if it doenst work there should be a manual adjustment hex-nut to open close the roof panes somewhere in the front of the roof lining... last option call the experts... or look at webasto sunroofs for a replacement ps the fuse should be the first place you should check... engine bay or under the dash
  15. Any luck? What works? btw... i just purchased 2 extra remotes... the toyota rep told me you can have up to three remotes programed... just that when you do the key to on two or three times you have to press the remote button simulationously... havent tried yet... still sitting in glove box
