You know the 20v 4age is infamous for poppin a flame on the shifts but I have not seen a 2zz do suc

Has anyone here seen a Sportivo poppin any flames?

Is this a common thing or is it rare for a 2zz to do so without ecu tuning and cat removal?

What I'm getting at is - Will it backfire with just a straight through exhaust?

my 2zz does the sound effect quite offten but not the flames. especially after i changed the stock muffler it was much more noticable. and i also noticed my sportivo seems to do it more often then other sportivos i've been in.

if it had a straight through exhaust it would, but it would be that loud you would also get a massive headache....

I've seen it happen at night with the stock system before.
