Rav4 ACA21R 5door Auto 2002, regarding petrol? = km/h

Hi Everyeone,

My wife Rav4 currently need attention, she had been driving since it brand new obviously she know nothing about the car.

I did some test, i filled up with 98 octane V-power or ultimate petrol, I have realize that the car had run about 230km and it only left a quarter of the petrol tank.

This alarm me is there something wrong with the engine injector or something else?

Hi

Have a 2008 RAV4 CV 2.4. It's slightly bigger engine but my fuel economy is not the best. So far the best petrol for milage I found is Caltex Vortex 98. I get about, anywhere from 8km per litre to 8.5km per litre in city driving alone. Mine is an auto, so to get these kinds of milage, I have to be really light footed allowing the gears to change at 2000rpm and mostly drive at 1500rpm. Can be pretty frustrating but you get used to it.

Initially when I got it, I revved it so that the gears would change at 3000 or 3500 rpm but then the fuel econmy was like 6km per litre in the city which is ridiculous.
