installing a headunit into a 97 corolla

i'm just wondering how do u open up the dash so i can replace the stock tape deck in my friends 1997 corolla seca hatch with something else?

This is the closest i could find... does that resemble his/her dash?

Most Dashes simply come unclipped... well modern dashes anyway...

the pic in the guide is quite similar but my friends dash is like this one. that guide will proberly be useful, thanks

you have to take all the plugs off the air condtioning vents etc. then remove the whole black surround it should come off , dont be affraid to use a bit of force it will be clipped in, then simply there will be a **** load of wires and a bracket where you can get to the head deck
