Tyre Scrubbing

Hi all,

Got 20s or 245/30/20 on my '09' Aurion Sportivo with Pedders Extreme XA adjustable coilovers but having problems with the rears scrubbing.

The car itself isn't lowered much (about 1/2-3/4 of an inch from standard).

Just wondering if changing the tyre width to 225 would fix the problem.

Any help would be great. :D

G'day.... :D

I had 20's and was running 245/35/20 with the Pedders coilovers and i could not get the height i wanted without scrubbing,i tried about 4-5 different heights/camber and the only one that came close to no scrub was way too high for my liking....my solution was to downsize to 19's and i still run 245/35/19 tyres on a 9"wide rim and sitting at 610mm which is fairly low and there has not even be a hint of any scrubbing/rubbing and this includes some spirited drives....i'm guessing it's the rolling diameter that causes most of the scrub not the width of the tyre, well that was what myself and the Pedders guy come up with, could be wrong.

are you running the rear camber kit?...this helps a little.

Cheers

Lee

Thanks Lee for the reply,

Its not scrubbing too badly, only when i've got 3+ people in the car which is understandable.

As for your question about the camber kit, no i don't have 1 but it is actually next on the to do list and i'll probably have the rear springs stiffened.
